I can't say enough good things about the SEGA Genesis version of Ristar. The credits are easily the most satisfying I've experienced for a sidescroller. This is a redraw from the credit stills that I did for practice. Ristar vs the second boss, Ohsat, for Planet Undertow. I highly recommend you play the game if you get a chance, but if you want to see the credits look here: youtu.be/SzQpdd1NUiYPencil sketch, redrawn and colored in Photoshop. I don't remember where I got the bubble brush.

Wildly different? Maybe because lately I've been scanning and using my actual pencil work? This I redrew in Photoshop with thicker lines and the coloring I tried to mimic the source in my own way.

Yeah, the lines look a little feathered, which makes sense for underwater.

Oh yeah, I put a layer style on my line art with a blue glow treated as a shadow. I do that with different lighting situations sometimes.
