A chibi-ish Soni with Memphit. It's almost been ten years since I created these two characters and I really miss drawing them together. I hope I can find a place for Memphit in the new story.Soni's gesture just happened so I went with it. I don't normally put him in blue clothes for obvious reasons but I was feeling nostalgic so he ended up in Ralph Malph's t-shirt.

The reference to the old Ralph Malph shirt is priceless. Do you still have that shirt? The Donny Most song from Family Guy just popped into my head.

I can't imagine having gotten rid of the shirt. It's either in my cosplay closet or in a plastic bin downstairs. I can't find the hat, which troubles me more because Soni adopted it well too.

Species like Familiars may be a co-dependant race that rely on having some manner of emotional bond with other sentient beings?
Less of a pet, more of an adoption process that parents set up for their kids?

I am still attached to the familiar idea. But I think only certain races and or classes should have them.
Unless I end up rewriting, in this story Soni was raised by his grandparents rather than being an orphan adopted and raised by Memphit's master. Soni not being Memphit's original master plays into their relationship in DP. They see each other more as equals and I want to keep it that way.
