Done as last resort for a birthday pic .. so time was about 30 mins to 1 hr (mostly cuz I was trying to figure out how to work Krita's curve brush tool thingy) my first plan (3d model) kinda failed on me and I have no idea what happened to this was a last minute thing.. and by far not my best work

Done without tracing though! (semi-tracing really, cuz I had a reference pic on one screen, traced that with Compiz's "annotate" then moved to the right and traced over that with Krita, then used the continuous straight line tool thing to trace that, then used the curve tool to make it look better (complicated, but it worked) and it's only base painted because by the time I came to coloring, the one I was making it for came in the room and stayed there out of complete randomness.

Done with a mouse in Krita 2.3 in about 30 mins to an hour (again: mostly cuz I was trying to figure out how to work the curve brush tool thing)
