DOWNLOAD PLEASE!The second part can be found here -->>[link]
I don't really believe, that it is a tutorial. It is more like detailed step-by-step.
Anyway.. it took me a lot of time to scan and create.. and I hope, that it can be useful... ^__^
Note 1: Made with Faber Castell and derwent artists colored pencils.
Note 2: To be honest, I don't know all names of colors, but I hope, you'll understand which colors I used.
Note 3: Sorry for my terrible English. ^^'
If you found any mistakes, please tell me.

I use russian GOZNAK paper. Unfortunately, I've never worked with any foreign paper, so I can't compare it to anything like 5bristol.

I have this tuto in my PC, and i like it a lot, but...i'm a little stupid to get the things on my own...so...here my questions^^
1- you starts with the BG right?...well...when you do it, you color it all with just one color and then, you put the others up them? or you already color it with 3 more pencils?
2- what do you use to do the lineart? color pencils, pens, just the pencil?
3- what do you use to blend? white pencil...gel...?
4- ehr...when you finish a draw, the paper get messed up? its something that happens a lot with me...
sorry 'bout taking your time annoying you, but i'd like to draw so good like you^^
thanks, kill

I love this tutorial! (Or step-by-step maybe?) I'm trying to become a traditional artist and it really helps me to know how other people do it.

Do you ink your pictures or do you get coloring after the pencil sketch?
If you do color without inking, can you help me with that? I can't color after just the sketch cause sometimes the pencil will smear with light colors, even dark colors, making it look dirty.

TetraOrb In reply to niwatori-sama [2007-07-27 20:39:02 +0000 UTC]
Firstly I make the sketch. Then, using my own window I transfer the lineart on a blank sheet of paper with a colored pencil (the first pic in the tuto). I don't inc my pictures, cuz I don't know how.
So I finally have a colored pencil lineart to color.
For the lineart I use the medium-light colors from the color scheme (here I used pink and light violet). While coloring these colors don't make the pic look dirty, cuz they are not dark enough for it.

Oooh, I like that idea! I've used it many times to recreate some old pictures. That's a good idea. :3 I'll definitely have to try that the next time I want to do some traditional pictures. Thanks!
