Physical Description: The Samurai is a picture of peak physical health and stature. His body is a well-honed fighting machine. Almost no body fat and lean, strong muscle. His training emphasizes speed and agility over pure muscular size and strength.

Personality: The Samurai is loyal unto death to two things in this life. His order’s cause, and the Defender of the Realms. He is often serious, but not overbearing. He is calm and collected in the most strenuous of times. He strives to live a spiritually pure life as is taught by his order and to those ends, exudes extreme self-control even if it’s to his detriment. He will sacrifice anything and anyone to defend his charge.

Back Story: The Samurai began his training at a very early age. Members of his order are seeded around the world always searching for prime candidates to become a guardian to mystical masters. A pact between his order (simply known as “The Order”) and those that use magic for good goes back as far as time can tell. The Order searches for young meta humans that show potential with abilities that could make them excel at being guardians. The Samurai was located when he was eight years old when he was moved from his home in England and began his training. As part of his induction into The Order, his name was stricken and replaced with the simply “Guardian”. As the disciples grow in age and ability, their training becomes more of a competition as only the best guardians are assigned to powerful Magic users. Upon the death of the Guardian that was assigned to the Defender of the Realm a tournament was held among the top students. Other’s surpassed him in meta human ability and others in martial skill. But this guardian showed that he had a perfect balance of all his gifts as well as his skill with a blade which far surpassed his fellow guardians. Upon winning the tournament, he was gifted with a Daemon’s Bane sword and renamed “The Samurai” and given the most sacred of duties their people can know. The protection and safety of the Defender of the Known Realms.

Upon reaching Century City, he reported to Astor Manor and took his place as the protector of the young Robert Astor. Their similar age and Robert’s personality led to The Samurai being given the nick name “Christian” as Robert refused to call him just Guardian. Over time, Robert and The Samurai became friends and they started working with other powerful individuals in Century City. “Christian” found it very interesting to see people outside of the order with gifts being used for good. As Robert became more and more infatuated with one of their allies, Gold Star, The Samurai found himself with more free time as Robert would dismiss him for hours on end. Not one to slack in his duties, he found himself watching over Robert’s younger sister Elizabeth, looking out for her safety as an extension of protecting Robert. One day while out with Robert, who was now calling himself “Warlock”, and Gold Star they came across a pack of invading Demon Hounds by the hundreds. These mindless beasts were easily dispatched. Their true strengths were in their overwhelming numbers. Before they realized, the three of them had been separated amongst the battle. A more powerful daemon emerged on the battle field and launched and attack against the first target it found – Gold Star. Warlock threw up his most powerful barrier spell far in front of Gold Star to defend her, but the attack passed right through his barrier. Not thinking, Robert teleported himself right in front of Gold Star hoping to grab her and teleport away in time. His timing was slightly off and instead, made it only in time to take the fatal attack in her stead. Having failed once in his duty, The Samurai has hardened his resolve and is now protecting Elizabeth, or Wytch as she now refers to herself. In a way The Samurai respects her as she has devoted herself fully to her new role which was thrust upon her, even to go so far as to shed herself of her past life as Elizabeth.

Powers:
- Precognition. The Samurai has an almost precognitive ability. He can sense when danger is nearby, and is able to “see” threats that are invisible.

- Martial Arts. The Samurai is a master at multiple forms of martial arts. With extreme specialization in sword fighting skills. Both single blade and dual blade.

- Daemon’s Bane. The sword that The Samurai wields is forged from metal that legend tells fell to the earth when a demon slew an angel in combat. The sword is able to slice through even the toughest of metals, demonic skins and even pierce through magical wards and defenses.

Weaknesses:

He has the same weaknesses as a normal human being. If he is being overwhelmed by his precognitive abilities (i.e. many enemies around him at once, causing him to concentrate to keep track of them) and his eyes are opened without his eyes covered, his senses can be overloaded and can cause him to become disoriented or even black out leaving him completely vulnerable.
