Hey, I managed to do something for this year's MerMay! AND it does not involve my own mermaid characters! How uncustomary!

But yeah, and I decided to try something new for #mermay2022 and redesigned each other's mermaid OCs in our own styles! While they redesigned my Human As Can Be character Ria (which also got a slight update earlier today because seeing eppu's version reminded me that I badly needed to update her too!!!), I went and remade their character June , who also has both a human and a mermaid form!
I didn't change much from her original design because it was already perfect, but I did decide to add a little shell motif to her loincloth because I thought it would be cute
Also I find it funny that both characters wear a shell-shaped talisman that lets them transform into mermaids when they're in water, but while Ria is an actual Pelagic Mermaid who's transformed into a human and has her true form revealed when entering the water, June is a real human being whose trinket changes people into a specific mermaid design when most of their body is submerged.
