Does anyone else find it weird on how close we are in science and technology that this in the far/near future could be a thing?

Well I mean to be fair we can edit the genome with CRISPR, it's just a matter of refining the process now and we can 3D-print skin directly onto wounds and it's just a matter of refining the process now until we'll be able to print lungs, livers, hearts, bladders, kidneys, etc, etc (and of course reproductive organs). I say in about 10-15 years transitioning is gonna be a process where you go to a hospital they put you in a 3D-printer, you'll be put to sleep and then the 3D-printer will start transforming your body while you'll be injected with a load of CRISPR that will alter your DNA to have the preffered sexual genome as well as making some cells replicate the protein to get it done quicker. And a few hours later you'll wake up in a fully functioning body of the opposite sex, no unable to have children issues whatsoever...
And honestly. Yea going to sleep and waking up as the opposite sex does sound like witchcraft...

Sure there's that and I'm not denying that it's an option, but with this caption in particular, I framed it so that the MC just wants to move on. He's got no major problem with being a girl but finds the transition more tedious and difficult than he anticipated.

Lol, this is why when I'm looking for self insert I look for mind control too. If I wanna get off to something I don't want to be thinking "but what if becoming a shorter girl made my balance off and I kept falling flat on my face?" Much easier to be mind controlled into being used to it.
