And this is the newest work of mine, featuring an evolved form of my previous Hakamo-o piece, with improvements to the art style.And let me start off by saying, yes, this was very 80's inspired (Primarily, it was influenced by some Synthwave tracks) - I've been meaning to do such for a long time and the results I just adore.
Anyway, this one includes my Pokesona again, as a Kommo-o (clearly I love this line a lot).
Now you're probably wondering just what is that weird pattern on my eye - no it's not eyelashes pfft, it's the Eye of Horus (literally around the eye) I simply couldn't resist adding this when I was making this it looks amazing, so it's now a nice defining feature of him, and it kinda fits when you know what the symbol means, (Some of it is hidden behind the scale, some is on the large one).
I'll explain it more whenever I create the bio for him. (I mean, Yamask and Cofagrigus exist, why not other things)
But yes, I love the Synthwave inspired 80's aesthetic I did for this (just with more me), cookie to anyone who knows the inspiration for the background.

Well, first off that's Vaporwave, not Synthwave.
It probably only played because it has a ridiculous amount of views thanks to being a meme.
Would have been way better if something from FM Attack or Turbo Knight started playing, then it would have been perfect - I listened to their music while I drew this.

Ah shiz my bad, I apologise. It's just Vaporwave is usually made with pale colours and all that. I don't really see it much of as a meme, and I listen to it unironically because I actually like it. Really sorry!

I agree, funnily enough I only heard of Vaporwave after getting into Synthwave haha, so I'm more used to the latter.
Oh I gave that a listen when you mentioned it pfft, I can definitely see what you mean, it's so relaxing.
Never too late to make a piece inspired by it in my eyes - I keep my music inspired ideas for ages before doing them.

Hahaha what a switch! I personally like to refer to most Vaporwave songs as some form of funk, because a lotta songs I listen to where people in the comment section deem it as "Vaporwave" sound more Disco/funk to me.

Right? I mean, there are literally so many underrated songs (and genres) out there that are just so nice to listen to. One of the most underrated I've seen was lofi hip hop, and I LOVE so many of the things that come out from there.

Indeed! Though I originally wasn't too pleased by it, I got over it eventually and just accepted it for what it was hahaha
Keeping them to yourself is a greater thing (well, to me at least). Yeah, they REALLY help me with studying or calming down. I don't actually remember if I drew to this or not, but it probably involved me writing some really deep things. I often think more deeper whenever I listen to that particular genres.

Ayy same. I also have those moments where I prefer music being listened to on a certain time or day. Say, music from Panthurr (probably my favourite lofi hip hop artist) has certain soundtracks that I prefer listening to the start of day because the music gives me a fresh, morning feeling. Indeed, though I've gotta try drawing to it soon haha. The only genre I've drawn to is different forms of rock, mostly soft.

I just change the music in regards to whatever I feel at the time, or if I want to listen to something new.

I've managed to draw with a lot of different types music in the background, although if it's something intense then it can be hard to concentrate haha.

Ahh lol. Makes sense! It's just that certain music have certain mood feels for me and I feel like if I listen to them at the wrong time it doesn't seem right hahaha. I like mood and atmosphere feelings in my music and generally that mood happens at night or sunset.
I would recommend indefinite artists from that genre, but Panthurr is my main.

That reminds me of OST's from games, those can really bring back the nostalgia and the feels.
Like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for example with it's feels-worthy soundtrack, I've seen that you like that game.
Night and the evening is a good time for certain moods, when it's nice and quiet haha.

Pfft certainly - lyrics distract my shading I've found, makes it look wrong.
Synthwave is nice for drawings because not many pieces have lyrics, and it makes my shading not come out wrong pfft.

Which ones? I know that for a BIG fact you play any Red Rescue Team OST in front of me (not Blue cause that's the DS version and I only played GBA), I will either recognise the song or have a flashback hahaha. I like that game maybe a bit too much haha!
Indeed, indeed! I mean, it's the perfect time for emotions, reflections and reminiscing. Plus sometimes the eeriness of the silence and stuff is so strong it becomes beautiful!

That's good hahaha. In some ways, it's like Slow Funk/Disco (which is Vaporwave but I'll refer to what I think are the real genres), but they use samples so lyrics will definitely pop up somewhere hahaha
