Finally got around to photographing my finished back tattoo design. The material I was using made the ballpoint pen I used on the values of the clouds bleed everywhere...Blargh.

Anyways, so. The stars make up the Leo constellation (my astrological sign). I'm not an "astrology is 100% true" person, but I tend to relate to most interpretations of a Leo. On top of that, lions are my favorite animal. The stars are also in rainbow order because I identify as a lesbian. The spine ties in with Leo, the sign that rules the heart, upper back and spine. I'm fascinated with anatomy, so that's another reason for that. As for the clouds, Leo is ruled by the Sun. Also, I'm a pretty optimistic person, trying to hold my head up high - in the clouds I guess you could say.

TL;DR. Each component is symbolic to me.
