Description
I was inspired by this image by :It's some owl, don't remember the species. Drawn with micro pens (the owl lineart), Sharpie (the swirls), and some Crayola markers (the colors).
Took about 6 hours or so I guess. A photo reference was used, so don't have a bitch fit.

I "own" one of the Sharpies in our house (that being it lives in my room), but other than that I don't really have any... That reminds me... How much do fine-point Sharpies bleed through sketch paper? I was thinking of trying them for pointillism because they're much cheaper than the felt-tip pens I already have, but I don't want them to kill my sketchbook either...

I think it depends on the paper. I use regular printer paper for alot of my stuff, which a Sharpie would bleed through. But I have a couple of sketch books with different pound paper. I would just use a piece from the sketchbook to see how badly it bleeds through - perhaps use a page which has a random sketch or something so you don't use up too much of the sketchbook.
