This is my first digital art piece using color. Its not much color but i think its a good start

Great job on the eyes on this one. They really pop. I'm not sure if you referenced a pic or not, but the way the specular highlights shimmer, and the brown is lighter on the bottom of the iris really makes the painting come alive. Well done.

and yea i used a reference, it was my first time with colors on a tablet. i hate myself for not doing much with it, i may find the ref pic and do another but with more awesomeness XD

It's fun to go back to old pieces of art when we know more and try our hand at them again. I do that with pictures sometimes. It's a great way to see improvement when sometimes it doesn't feel like we are getting any better... or at least I can fee l that way sometimes.

i always feel that way, especially when either i try more things take more time or even less than usual like a fast portrait and sometimes im like OMG THIS IS AMAZING WHY CANT MY ART ALL LOOK LIKE THIS and then a week or month later i make something even better and the feeling is repeated XD

I know, it's so true. Sometimes you can spend days on something and it won't quiet work and other times an hour makes for something great. It's weird for me that these video projects take weeks but will never get the attention that a cat picture would. Oh well, it's not about attention, but how well I can satisfy myself. But there can be room for quick cat pictures too I suppose.

OMG YES I KNOW!!! my art got to next to no attention.. and then i drew a picture of a cat lmao and it got 10,000 likes and reblogs on tumblr and got over 100 faves on here and got me like 50 watchers in a few days. and i was like seriously?...cats man..
they control the internet lmao
