I enjoy this. Though it seems a bit rushed (I understand that it was a quick study), you've captured the important points of the painting very well.

Oh this is superb; Ilya Repin is a favorite of mine, up there with Rockwell.
Were I to say anything useful, I'd say smaller brush size on the beard.

Oh yes, Repin and Rockwell are big inspirations of mine.
I had intended to refine the beard (As well as the rest of the painting), but I put this down before getting to it.
So the beard never got far past the large brush blocking in of colours stage.
