It's late in the night and you find yourself rocking the chair at his desk, waiting for him to get home. Dante usually took quite a while to get back from a job and you half expected him to show up drunk anyway. In the midst of your thinking the phone rings nearly making you, and the chair, fall backwards onto the floor. Annoyed you sigh and answer of course keeping within Dante's business lines just in case this person had his password.

" Hey babe you're still up? " It was Dante. As much as it angered you to hear him calling instead of actually seeing him walk through the door you were happy to hear that he was OK.

" Dante where are you? " You ask.

" I'm still at the job site. " Sighing you look down at the floor before you answer him

" How much longer do you think you'll be Dante? "

" I shouldn't be to much longer I just need to collect my pay then I'll be on my way... "

" So in other words you probably won't be home before I end up falling asleep... " You could already tell that Dante could hear in your voice how upset you were through his sighing on the other end. " I'm sorry I'm not trying to make you feel guilty about leaving Dante... "

After which you head to the bathroom, peel off your clothes and set your nightwear aside to put on later, tossing your dirty clothes into a basket then stepping into the shower. The water feels hot against your skin and you stand there just enjoying the feeling of it cascading down your body. Getting lost in thought as you wash your hair you almost didn't hear the faint sound of the door opening but in the middle of rinsing you stop and look at the curtain trying to see who it was through it, but all you can see is the light blue waterproof fabric. Feeling a little uneasy and wishing Dante were there with you, you quickly rinse out your hair and turn off the water slowly stepping out from the shower, grabbing your towel and wrapping it around yourself. There didn't appear to be anyone in there with you. The door was closed and your clothes were still there. At least the ones you threw in the basket were, but your nightwear was gone.

" That's odd... " You say to yourself and look all through the bathroom for them. Finally you give up and wrap the towel around your body tighter then open the door stepping out of the bathroom thinking the whole time with your head down. " Always... " He smiles again then walks out the door and shuts it. Leaning back you sigh. " Same old Dante... " The thought that you know he would always come home puts a smile on your face and you get up to make yourself something to eat. Sitting there worrying about him wouldn't make you feel better, besides when he came home you'd probably end up making love again. After all this was your routine...
