Some Poems Don't Rhyme
Model: The Corpse

Sorry if I don't get back to you quickly or at all β We've got a new baby and it's hard to find DA time any more. I'll still be around, but posting less...

Many of the Dark Arts groups seem to have faded away. Especially the really good one we all belonged to. That was a shame. Some of the rhetoric that was posted there was ridiculous and the people put in charge there just didn't get it. Currently I belong to [link] Please support them, it's run by cool people.

a woman re-corked
Suspended at commitment's border
slow circling its edge
you shelve me
........seal broken
a woman re-corked
........and re-stopperd.
You believe
that when the vintage is
........re-sampled
it will have
- unsploiled by the air's assault -
in layered and plummy tones
........endured.
However
partaken of earlier
.......and too casually
it seems fair speculation
that this once bountiful bouquet
will no longer drink so sweetly.
i suppose you can make what you want of this..just as i with your work..with timidity and trepidation i navigate my headspace..resurrected solitutde...your peice is very provocative..

That's some good stuff, lady. Vivid imagery and multi-layered...

Absolutely insane, just what I love! Those pieces that just make you stare and stare trying to figure out how the hell you did that. Nice.

Who cares what! the title makes me think of "some poems don't rhyme" = "some things don't make sense" and either way, it's all good in the land of insanity

You are actually very, very right. Makes me think I was on the right track. I was thinking "cancer" when I made it. I have an uncle who does not have long to live. When I looked up 'cancer' on the net someone referenced "some poems don't rhyme" as 'some things are just unexpected in life.' It just all clicked. The hole in the face is a cancer. The texture with the shaving stubble is my neck. That's my eye. Just a neck with a hole in it and an eye to show that it's a scared person. That's it, but it kind of "happened" as I did it, ya know?? I'm glad you got it - it's sort of a validation of my creepy art!

Damn. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Shit doesn't make sense sometimes but I'm glad there is a therapeutic release or interpretation for you/us to get things out on some level. I think it's a good thing.

Not to dwell on a bad subject, but he passed away last week. Sad stuff, but he was really hurting towards the end.

Damn. I'm sorry to hear that, but at the same time it's best as you know. You're old enough and wise enough to not need fortune cookie advice on the subject but just know that warm thoughts are out there for him from me.

You are sort of right - I mostly make things that are like "what the HELL is that??" But if you come back to the thread on this piece you'll see some more insight...
Thanks for looking!!
