As describes the scene, "Basic idea is a typical space corp engineer has managed to repair a piece of alien equipment a little too well. After pushing in the final button, it suddenly activated and promptly transformed her into a mermaid.
Uniform is inspired from the late unlamented Star Trek: Enterprise show.

from what I gathered by inking it, I think all you need to do is program in whatever animal you want and *poof* the vic...er...subject gets turned into a hybredΒ

Is Ric still doing commissions, last I heard he was not in good health.

Sadly, Ric is in the late stages of Lou Gherig's disease (ALS) and in very poor health. The disease has been starting to attach his respiratory system. When I last saw him, Ric was currenly bed ridden and on oxygen.
This was one of the commissions that he completed for me before the early symptoms disease impacted his ability to draw.
