Description PART 1
Jeskai was a normal youth, or so she thought. She lived with two parents, went to the local high school, had friends. She lived in the city of Metroviex, with her parents. And she had always assumed her life was normal.
She was wrong. And this is how she found out just how different she was.
---
"Why not?" asked an annoyed Jeskai to her parents. "Why may I not get a Credit Card?"
"Because I said so," said her father. "Very simple."
"That is not a good answer!"
"It is the only answer you will get. Now, stop complaining"
Jeskai swore under her breath, though her father did not notice.
It wasn't the first time she had been denied requests, and then given a strange, abrupt answer that really answered nothing. For example, while her schoolmates all had their drivers licenses, her father and mother had denied her getting even her temporary permit. Without the ability to drive, she had to learn how to ride an archaic "bicycle". Of course, her parents also had rules for her to follow, when riding. This included not going to more dangerous areas of the city, but, strangely, also not near police or military areas.
These limits were strange to say the least. And made Jeskai suspicious.
---
Jeskai walked down the sidewalk. She was still angry about not being allowed to get a credit card. In revenge, she was going to disobey one of her parents' laws: She would go to the south-east district, which her parents had deemed "Too Dangerous for you to go there." In a fit of teenage hormones, Jeskai had decided herself to be invincible.
When she got to the south-east district, she found out that what her parents had said was a bit off-key; the area did not seem dangerous. Buildings were in good repair, and people were calm and pleasant.
There was one exception however. There was a warehouse on one of the streets. While it did not appear to be too bad on the outside, it gave off an aura of evil. People avoided it, and even the blood-red flowers outside of it added to its menace.
Naturally, our teenage protagonist figured it would be a good place to explore.
The warehouse was relatively empty. It seemed to be bigger on the inside than the outside, though this was merely a trick of the eyes. Metal scrap and computer parts littered one corner, forming a junk pile. Jeskai went over to examine it. Much of the metal seemed to be military based- Armor, guns, stuff like that. And most of it seemed new, not obsolete garbage. How odd…
At this moment, there was a pneumatic hiss, and a door opened where there had once been plain wall. A tall, green and black figure stepped out. Jeskai dived under the junk pile, hoping to not be seen. The figure looked around, before picking up some of the refuse from the pile, and taking it back through the door, which closed behind it.
Even though the thing had not seen Jeskai, Jeskai was still unnerved by the creature's bright red eyes for hours after the encounter.
