Seeing you do this, it makes sense not to blend in the concealer, i always blend it in and i probably end up taking a lot of it away.

Have you tried makeupforever, smashbox, or any higher end brands? They may be more expensive but they do have a wider range and can go super pale.

I found really cheap and ligt foundation and I add my white powder so it's okay :3
One more question if I may - about playing with shadows on face. I have really round face, how can I hide it?

Makeup Forever has really awesome concealers, too! It's actually the brand I'm using now. The full coverage HD one is great for cosplay~

Thank you for your tutorials! I really appreciate them!
I know this is strange but I suffer from acne and I tend to get them on my forehead (DOOOOOM). I'm wondering what you did to get rid of yours? I exfolifiate every other day. Wash my face in mild facial wash twice a day, cleanse AND tone. Drink water XD'' and they don't seem to go 8| BOOOO.

*raises hand* I has a question. How do I make my skin paler with makeup? Because, if I use pale foundation, it looks really cakey and fake. I make a terrible blond DX Do you have any advice?

The completed step 3 face made me snicker for some reason. I guess Concealer alone to save time would be bad, lol.

Where's a place I can order color contacts which are good quality but cost effective?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

the-sushi-monster In reply to KungFuHime2009 [2010-10-03 23:28:12 +0000 UTC]

are really cheap but they order via batch orders so you'd have to wait until they get their quota before they ship it out.

Mydollyeye.com is good, and there are a few other sites, just google and check it out!

KungFuHime2009 In reply to the-sushi-monster [2010-10-04 01:59:48 +0000 UTC]

One more thing. I wear prescription contacts already. Are the color ones ordered with your eye prescription or do I need a different site from the ones you mentioned?

OOOOOoooooo! There's a few sites where you can order prescription circle lenses, but I'm not sure which ones they are so you'll just have to check if they do? My fav. site, tokioshine.com had them but that site has been down for awhile x.x

Albino-Poncho [2010-09-30 00:33:48 +0000 UTC]

I love that you're also going over how to prep the face and not just how to work with the eyes, this works for people who want to know what to do even for just everyday makeup!
And uck, the acne scars. I have those too. I still struggle with acne :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

the-sushi-monster In reply to Albino-Poncho [2010-10-03 23:11:49 +0000 UTC]

Yes! Though with everyday makeup I would use a lighter mineral powder foundation and ONLY use it on the T-Zone (forehead/nose/chin) since my cheeks/rest of my face doesn't need makeup. That or just tinted moisturizer/sinblock lol.

And yeahhhh acne scars D: I get them even if I keep clean and don't even touch the pimples, my skin just darkens really easily.

KungFuHime2009 [2010-09-29 23:45:47 +0000 UTC]

How do you blend around the hairline? I have a very Asian hairline so I have short sideburn like hairs on my neck and by my ears that I can't hide.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

the-sushi-monster In reply to KungFuHime2009 [2010-10-03 21:34:00 +0000 UTC]

You won't be able to hide the hairs, but you can probably keep making strokes of foundation reach out and over the hair to at least hide them a little? Like, put some makeup over your hair also, if you get what I mean?

This is really a huge help, especially with part one and your brand recommendations! Thank you *__* I'm curious though, what kind of foundation do you usually recommend using? Powder/liquid/cream? >> I still haven't gotten my head quite around the strengths and weaknesses of the different types.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

the-sushi-monster In reply to demograph [2010-10-03 21:32:23 +0000 UTC]

You're very welcome!

I like using cream foundation for cosplay - it's thicker and gives better coverage, and I find it gives me a less powdery look. I also get more control with it than liquid.

Powder foundations such as mineral ones are good if you have oily skin, and they are lighter, so I use that for everyday use.

It's really up to you, though!
