Well, atlast Chiro's past, now you may ask, then who are his parents and their identities, and i will tell you, it really matters? should it matter whose are chiro's parent specifically?

now to the actual backstory, I believe is that chiro is an orphan, but also that his parents died while them and chiro were over the seas of shuggazoom, before they were attacked by something or had somekind of accident, and because of that chiro felt powerless to stop that from happening, that he was just a little boy and couldn't do anything.

Chiro survived but his parents were lost to the water. Because of this Chiro fears being powerless and tiny and also swimming... hope you like this theory

EDIT: Considering some new old information, it seems that in the early beta of the show, chiro was supossed to be this lonely little boy whose parents never were home, that lived close to where the monkeys stationed the super robot and kinda forced himself to be the annoying side kick because he literally had no other friends... Welp, daaang that's sad....
EDIT^2: Considering some question answered by Ciro Nieli Himself that i saw on a post of tumblr, it seems that chiro's parents do in fact have the early beta backstory, meaning that basically he is not an orphan but rather an abandoned child... because his parents worked so much they never got any sort of time with him among other things...
