okay.. i sorta found this to be a slightly bizarre theme to draw..
but ~Veeshan123 paid for this. jst hope he likes it.

That terrifies me so much. I'm not even scared of spiders, that's just a big fucking spider.

It IS a bizarre theme, yes, but an oddly compelling one - and this is a fantastic piece of work!

i find it amusing how the first stage seems comical, and the final ones is all morbid XD

and by speed, you mean how fast were you to do this?

speedcommissions are jst a term basis..
while my regular commissions would take hours due to colouring and what not, speed commissions are commissions that usually take between 30 - 50 minutes. I know that's not exactly fast, but as opposed to a regular commish, it is.
If i did however draw these in a more loose and sletched out manner, then they would really be speed commissions as those would probably take from 10 - 20 minutes.
But for some reason, i decided to draw these out in a cleaner line style, that of my regular drawing style, which does indeed take a tad longer than a sketch.

Yeah, but you still managed to do a good job using a subject matter or concept that you may have felt uncomfortable with. That's not such an easy task, especially since many artists (like me) can only hope to do a good job, drawing the things we like to draw. How do you manage to stay motivated? Ha ha - maybe it's because if you can manage to get it done in 10 minutes, there's no time to get discouraged. Even getting to that stage of competence is quite difficult...

well all these speedcommissions went for quite alot longer than 10 minutes..
i roughly spend 30 - 50 minutes on each.
with that said, i don't exactly draw throughout the 30 - 50 minute period.. i'm also usually chatting online and watching a movie. i attention is always everywhere.
but
i so have a different mindset when drawing commissions, plus since i kno i'm not going head to head w/ other folks to beat the time.. i don't feel as rushed.

I love the spider. I was thinkn about adding spiders to a bunch of my new work (found/caught a black widow spider that was on the ceiling of my room). Ihave had spiders on the brain. I really like the progression on these. Very Cool
