Technically, NATO was in charge of Libya, so Obama didn't need approval of congress as it would require that the US have boots on the ground in order to require congressional approval.

Point taken, however Obama initially spear headed the operation then got NATO involved and took a back seat, we attacked before NATO got involved.
Libya aside (which has other scandals Obama's involved in), that's just one of the countries he's used the US Military against. There's also Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Uganda, and Kenya (and of course Iraq and Afghanistan), this is a longer list then Bush. He's also threatened the use of military force on yet more nations.

Most of them with Congressional approval from conservative Republicans (neo-conservatives) and hawkish Democrats. For Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan, these were basically continuations of Bush's policies. As for Uganda and Kenya; technically those were military advisers that were asked for by the Kenyan and Ugandan governments to help train, assist, and provide intelligence in their battle against the Lord's Resistance Army, a christian terrorist group.

You're missing one of the big points here, Obama decried Bush over his policies over and over and over again, but has now continued most of them and expanded many of them, yet has never once said he was mistaken for criticizing Bush the way he did.
Obama didn't even bother talking to Congress on most of these, so how could he have gotten Congressional Approval? Someone saying they support President Obama's actions is different from putting pen to paper and then adding their John Hancock. Remember Harry Reid and Congress getting very upset at Obama for leaving them out of the military use of force approval process? Uganda and Kenya also received US Special Forces strike teams, AKA boots on the ground.
As far as the Lord's Resistance Army, first they practice an incredibly warped and perverse version of Christianity, so much so that it is not really recognizable as Christianity. Ask any reputable Church about if they agree with and support the Lord's Resistance Army and they'll denounce them as do I. The Lord's Resistance Army practices murder, abduction, mutilation, and child sex slavery, all of which go against the Bibles teachings. Second, their not the only group the Ugandan People's Defense Force (or National Defense Force) are fighting. Third the National Defense Force practices those same things and conscripts children into their military, do we really want to be supporting either side?
On a different note, this question is out of pure curiosity; why are you as a Canadian so interested in American politics? I'm in America, you're not (at least that's what your profile says), so I'm just curious as to your motivation.

It's called politics; it isn't pretty but it's basic tactics. Bush did many of the same things he criticized Clinton, and so on and so on. Obama is a politician, so of course he would do the popular thing at the time, since a lot of people hated Bush.
Essentially; these actions didn't require congressional approval, as it was approved by the UN Security Council, and that for the majority of the no-fly zone enforcement, NATO was in charge. And as this document showed -starting on Page 26-, the administration has indeed consulted extensively with congress regarding Libya. s3.documentcloud.org/documents…
Which then begs the question of why so many people are okay with saying Islam as a whole is guilty of committing egregious violence on humanity when it's only a few groups that follow the religion that are guilty of doing this. As for the Ugandan Defence Force, they are part of the government, and the US supports the government of Uganda. It may not be shocking, but the US has throughout history supported tyrants and dictators that were basically doing horrible things to their own people; like Franco, Pinochet, the South Vietnamese government during the Vietnam War, and much more. They all committed the same amounts of horrors as the LRA and other terrorist groups that the US are fighting against.
And to you answer your question, why not? A lot of Americans get involved in the politics of other countries, so it shouldn't be a surprise you would get a few foreigners getting involved in the politics of America.

There's playing politics and there's being nasty. Clinton apologized for things, Bush apologized for a great deal, Obama has never once apologized for anything. Also a lot of people like Bush, especially now that we've had 5 years of Obama.
The UN does not overrule the sovereignty of the US or any country. Yes NATO was in charge most of the time, they key word being most of the time. Again consulting Congress isn't the same as getting their approval, consulting is letting them know what's going on and possible getting some feedback, nowhere in there was a bill voted on to approve the use of force. Also again Libya is only one instance.
Islam as a whole isn't guilty of egregious violence on humanity, just the radical parts of Islam. Unfortunately Islam has the largest percentage of it's followers radicalized of any major religion and those radical groups are responsible for the majority of the international violence today. Naturally people will begin to associate Islam with violence with this trend, to reverse this the Islamic community needs to start policing itself, unfortunately again the radical groups have controlling power in may regions making that much more difficult.
My question was out of pure curiosity, I find it fascinating what motivates different people. I myself also loosely follow politics of other countries too.
May God keep you safe.

DA Admin is full of liberals who love to take down messages that oppose their political and ideological point of view. I've butted heads with them numerous times.

The 1st Amendment only applies to THEM, don'cha'know?
It's really scary, isn't it? Not that Obama is making a mockery of our nation around the globe and sending our children up the river for the rest of their lives, but that a third of the nation is *ALLOWING* him to do it.

20%-30% of the nation whole heartedly agree with where Obama wants to take us. They don't see that this is the path to ruin, they see this as the righteous path the Uthopia. Those who know what's going on are just playing everyone for suckers, those who have drunk the cool-aid believe this is the higher calling and the ends justify the means.
So it's not as much "allowing" as it is "encouraging and supporting".
We're up a river, we need to find a paddle fast.

Guantanamo Bay Navel Station has been there since 1903, and Obama now that he's been President for a while doesn't seem as keen on closing it anymore. Congress said Obama could close GTMO when he had a plan to transfer the prisoners that didn't have them coming into the US.

true, President Bush opened GTMO in its current form in 2002, but its been used as a prison camp and refugee camp for years and years by previous presidents.
still doesn't change the fact that President Obama could close it, all he has to do is relocate all the prisoners to somewhere other than to the US.

LOL
Pity you can't add "Did exactly what he excoriated previous President for doing."
"Voted Present a LOT."
"Badmouthed the US Congress on the world stage."
"Told the world that he didn't have to follow the Constitution."
"Used the IRS as a political tool to ensure re-election."
"Turned the DOJ into an arm of the New Black Panthers"
"Used the NSA to spy on Citizens, Congress, foreign governments, and everyone else."
"Smoked pot then ran the most psychotic, violent drug-war outside of Mexico."
"Delivered thousands of weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels."
"Finished off Detroit."
Well, you'd run out of room on a 140" TV before you ran out of scandals.
