She sliced her wristsbut how could she know
that even in death
her life was just a show?
Her short life was watched
by those she thought she knew
as well as by those
who thought they knew her too.
They laughed at her tears
when they made her their fool;
oh how her so called "friends"
could be so very cruel.
She had to escape,
her heart felt so weak;
but it didn't take her long
to find the path she did seek.
She lifted the blade
that held her demise
and as the light reflected
it seemed beautiful to her eyes.
In her final moments
no tears filled her eyes
and her lips did not part
to release her pain filled cries.
She would give them no pleasure
in the pain that she felt;
they would know nothing
but the guilt that she had dealt.
These are the ones,
she said in her letter,
who thought they knew me,
who thought they were better.
She wrote down their names
upon the paper sheet
and when she was found
it lay there at her feet.
But how could she know
her little sister would be
the first to find out
how the one she adored had
set herself free?
