Depends on who you ask--they seem to be that way in the Kelvin universe.  And Starfleet Command in Picard's time had its share of fascists too

No, that was just terrible writing wasting the potential (and missing the point) of Section 31 in the Kelvin timeline. As for 'Starfleet command having fascists', it's a quasi-miliatery organization. I'm pretty sure everyone as some authoritarian leanings given the structure and given that Starfleet and not the civilian government is the main focus of the show...

Are you entirely sure you know what fascism is? Because most people mistake authoritarianism for it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism#…

There's no reason to be insulting just because I was raised in the 90s. I only mention it because most people today wouldn't be able to identify fascism if it annexed Poland.

There is a Galaxy-class Enterprise-D, commanded by Picard. The difference is that it was not destroyed over Veridian (Riker has balls in the Polarisverse, he rammed the E-D into the Klingon ships, obliterating it). The damaged ship was refitted over time. After Nemesis, the E-D looked like it did in All Good Things.

Sounds similar to my universe with the D being refitted to look like it did in All good things after The Battle of Veridian III with the Cardassians as the main villains alternate Generations instead of the over used Klingons.
