Stupidest lighsaber design ever. The crossbar on a sword is supposed to *protect* the wielder, not be a hazard that's likely to cut something off, such as a hand or a leg.
This is a nice piece of art regardless, and I know the lightsaber design isn't yours.

Me neither, aside that Crossguard Sabers already existed in lore:Β starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Crossgβ¦ it makes sense that, since hands are often lost in Saber Fights, someone would eventually go: Lets put a guard on that thing.Β

I'm starting to suspect maybe they aren't entirely meant to act as guards, but are also used in close quarters combat? like a ninjas uses kamas, maybe he can deactivate the 2 other blades and use either 1 of the side blades or just the central one like a normal lightsaber
