love her outfit and her hair, but her face, particularly around her nose, looks like there is a second/different lightsource on it than any other part of the picture.

I was watching the 90s X-Men series again so I really had this version of Rogue in mind when I saw the line art.

Then with the color version its like ah there she is in all her southern beauty. Fiery redhead in a body hugging costume and leather jacket.

There 5 separate volume DVD releases at about 20 dollars each in the past year or two. At least this happen here in America. I don't know if they did international releases or others for different regions.

The episodes in each volume don't exactly correspond to the airing order.

Volume 5 contains several episodes that would make more sense if they were in earlier volumes. When I say sense I mean chronologically by plot events.

Such as No Mutant Is An Island would better fit somewhere The Phoenix Saga and The Dark Phoenix Saga. Mainly because of how Jean disappears at the end of Phoenix only to be found at the start of Dark Phoenix.

No Mutant Is An Island deals with Scott's decision to leave the X-Men because he's convinced Jean's dead since she did not return after taking the M'Kraan Crystal into the sun.

A really good Rogue episode is A Rogue's Tale.

Ultimately what made this series work a lot better than its successors was that it found a balance between all the characters.

Instead of forcing a few or one character to carry the whole series.

That's what I consider a fault of Wolverine and the X-Men. WXM had some good episodes but it got canned after only one season.

The episode that debuted Nightcrawler also called Nightcrawler is a pretty powerful episode on spirituality.

Yet the followup to that episode Bloodlines deals with how Nightcrawler learns the identity of his mother.

Even though we have known before him.

So on the one hand Mystique gave birth to a non-mutant son who hates mutants and resents having parents for mutants.

On the other hand, there is the son who looks like a demon yet is quite the opposite in his spirituality.

That episode is Bloodlines. I never saw some of the episodes until I got the DVDs. Bloodlines is a definite tearjerker in some ways.

Ultimately most moving episode is Graduation Day which I also never saw until I got the Volume 5 release.

The way Xavier defines each of the X-Men in that episode... not a dry eye in that room when he describes them to themselves.

yes...definitely worth the buy... I keep rewatching it every few weeks.

The theme song is stuck in my head at times.

X-Ternally Yours is the only episode to sort of center around Gambit as it is the danger to his brother that compels him to return home.

Otherwise he rather have nothing to do with the centuries old rivalry between Thieves and Assassins.

One difference I know from the comics is that the characters don't die but often they are suspected dead.

Its a very far fetched in its similarity to the laughing gas used by Joker. Meaning Joker was never shown killing during any episode of BtAS or TNBA. However he came awfully close in TNBA.

The only time I actually saw Joker kill anyone was in Mask of Phantasm and Return of the Joker.
