It's a busy day at Lon Lon Ranch, with Malon doing the milking, Ingo gathering the horse plop, Talon sleeping somewhere, and cuccoos attacking whatever bothers them.I think Malon's great. She's the one Link should hook up with. Why? Well, Saria's a permanent child, Ruto's a freaking FISH, and marrying Zelda would mean future Links are going after their cousins. And I won't even get into Tingle. Malon's perfect!

Well technically if Link got with Zelda, only future Zeldas would be related. Link just reincarnates. I'm not saying that because I do/don't support certain shippings, I just like pointing out facts like that.
Anyway good picture, I've always liked the ranches in Zelda games, though I'm not much for them in real life. I like the cuccoo.

Somebody pairs Link with Tingle? I thought Tingle was the most-hated character in the Zelda-verse above even Navi.

Beautiful picture - this looks like it could be for a spinoff game starring Malon.
I definitely think the LinkxMalon pairing works well. After all, she's the only important female character in the game who didn't become a Sage.

And also, some people say Malon resembles Peach (I don't really see it), and both she and Talon wear Bowser broaches. Nintendo loves in-jokes almost as much as Keiji Inafune (If you're a hard-core Mega Man fan, you'll know what I'm talking about.).

Good pic. But if he hooked up with Zelda future Links and Zelda's wouldn't be related because I read this storyline that I think is official, but Link from OOT became a knight abd married Zelda. Then YEARS later Zelda foresaw a vision of Ganondorf's return and that another hero would protect Hyrule, named Link just like the original (I'm presuming this one is the Twilight Princess version) and all future female heirs are called Zelda anyway. Also in the Wind Waker it was said that Link had no relation to the original. The site with that story is I believe called Nintendoworld.
Anyway Malon is cute but she seemed to be more of a friend to Link rather than a romantic possibility. Zelda seemed to be the one he acted that way with. But still everyone has their favourites. It's either her or Zelda for sure.

That theory doesn't sound official. I don't think they even have an official storyline at this point.
I personally don't think Link from Ocarina of Time hooks up with any girls, at least not in Hyrule. Why? Because IN Wind Waker it explains how Link leaves Hyrule in OoT and never returns. Hard to keep a relationship running when you leave till the day you die...
Just saying.
Though if I did have to choose a girl for Link, I'd have to go Malon. It just seems right somehow, I can't see Link becoming a King.
Anyway, on to subject at hand... wonderful picture. I especially like the texturing on the ground. I must say, you are very good at making digital art look like paints.

Eiji Aonouma (Probably not spelling his name right), the man in charge of the story for the Zelda series, said that Ocarina of Time causes a split in the timeline. When Zelda sent Link back to relive the seven years of his life he lost because of her, he exposed Ganondorf to the king and that altered the future, meaning that when Zelda sent him back, she made him live out a life where he didn't become the Hero of Time, and the timeline where he did went on without him, which brings us to the Wind Waker and a Hero of Time who left forever.
Twilight Princess is at the exact same time, only it's in the timeline where Ganny was convincted. And also, Link started it living as a rancher in a smalltime village, so it looks like he married Malon. Yay!

Okay, I have a whole list of ways I could respond to that comment, but rather than launch into another juvenile zelda fanboy arguement (I have found, the hard way, that arguing about Zelda with another Zelda fan is a lost cause, on both sides) I instead only have one thing to say to you.

That Link wasn't the OOT Link as Hyrule was plunged below the waves almost immediatly after Ganon escaped and took over again and that would mean that it would take place after Twilight Princess.

However, Ocarina of Time Link was the only one reffered to as the 'Hero of Time', there he is the only Link it could be.
