Sit down, son, we have a lot to discuss. (aka wall of text)

At the time that this comic was made, my inbox was filling with ponies on a constant basis, not to mention there would be one on the front page all the time. I viewed it as some kind of zombie Apocalypse of the internet....expect rainbowier.

Not to mention at the time, the fans were running around referring to themselves as "the herd." Stating that blank has joined the heard after they had made something pony related.

oh right, and the fact that grown men and teenage boys became part of a fan base about ponies was also a very unexpected fact for me.

I made this as a bit of mindless fun to poke at the fact that my little pony of all things became a popular thing, and that it was multiplying like an algebra student. It was more of a pony apocalypse kind of setting rather than a "let's kill ponies cuz I hate them grr." kind of thing.

I believe a being a year less mature can also be a factor as well. I'm not fond of ponies at all, but I can tolerate their existence.

Also, just because I'm not fond of ponies, doesn't mean I dislike poeple who do enjoy the show. Some of my really good friends (over the internet) are fans, and I can respect it.

(Although the ones that bring up mlp at completely unrelated things on youtube annoy me a tad bit.)(and whoever rule 34's mlp i'm not fond of either, because that's just sick.)

And, as probably anal and i'm not even sure if it would be hypocrtical, as it is, I refuse to watch it. I just refuse to watch a show about vibrantly colored ponies. I hear it's a good show, but i'll just take people's words for it. I'm not sure if it's because my little pony seems too girly while other shows that are popular now like adventure time and regular show are more gender neutral and something that I would not mind someone walking into the room to see me watching. It may be a stubborn mindset, but that's just how it is.

Okay, let me explain to you a couple of things. The show isn't particularly girly, the girliest part of the show is the opening. Sure there are some girly parts, but they make up for it with pretty much every seen with Rainbow Dash. Yes, I also agree that most of the fanfics (especially CupCakes HD) & all Rule 34 of everything is sick. But the show itself is awesome. It is nothing like the original 80's crap. Season 2 is way less girly than season 1, probably because of all the male feedback. So if your gonna not like a show that you haven't seen, don't, just be neutral. At least give it a chance, watch it here: [link] and you should probably watch ep 2 after. I mean, the only way you can fully understand the show is by watching every episode. That's what I did. Now, this isn't my favourite show, Regular Show & Adventure Time are high above it, but it's up there.
