Description Do you remember what it's like
To be so small that a hand can wrap
All the way around your arm?

To be so frail
That you fear the wind
And the rain.

Do you remember what it's like
To be hurt by everything
To be frozen in terror
To be defenseless
Powerless
To know that no matter what you do
You cannot help yourself.

No matter what good
I can do
It is small compared
To your evil
I have no hero
To protect me

Do you remember what it's like?

Then why
Do you always
Make me feel
So small?

It's just another one of the additional stories I have that spawn from Mazeline. Alecto is my obsession right now, because she is very interesting.

Cuz she's so tragic and yet she is strong. She has the courage to fight back unlike her mother.

Thanks! My poetry is an attempt to make up for my crappy art.

I should write good poetry to make up for my crappy art! Only thing is my art AND my poetry are both crapola...

It's no worse than mine. The only thing that I do differently is I write poetry from first person, but with the distanced tone of third because I usually think of things in third person.

emotion makes poetry good. writing is just a way to convey it. plus i was raised on theater and am very impressionable where literature is concerned

Really? I have eight years of acting/singing/music lessons under my belt. I love theater!

Lessons? You lucky person you! I used to be totally into acting and stuff but i just sing now. My friend is really good at it though, she was one of teh only freshman in the school play.

Yup! My uncle owns a music store/studio, my aunt owns an acting studio. This ends up in free lessons for me!

That's awesome. There are only three musical people in my family and my brother and I make up two of those people.

THEmightyMAZ In reply to IggyWillSaveMeIn2012 [2010-12-06 04:38:14 +0000 UTC]

fairly decent i'd like to think, but my brother would tell you other wise. Then again he also doesn't think it's possible to draw attractive people, so I don't think his opinion counts much in artistic matters.

IggyWillSaveMeIn2012 In reply to THEmightyMAZ [2010-12-06 04:55:43 +0000 UTC]

Yep! 5, number seven on the way. (LOTS of kids. My parents have adopted several kids, including me.) And lots of kids who my parents consider children and whom I consider siblings. (See, we live in a teensy weensy town where kids just wander throughout other people's houses and such. It sounds really weird and dangerous, but it's not at all. Everyone's known each other their whole lives.)

that sounds so cool! i hate how small my family is. We have almost no family in the area. Even my grandparents live really far away. That's why I plan to have a big family.

Big families are amazing. I love when we have family reunions. (Yes, my family is bigger than what I've already told you. My mom has five siblings, my dad has six. All my aunts and uncles are married with at least two kids each.)

We had one about two years ago, and I realized that if I lived in almost any other state my family would be huge. It's just cause no one lives here!

Do you live on the east side or the west side? Or somewhere in the middle? I live in a little beach town outside of San Diego. (The reason I'm not freaked out about giving you this info is because if you google my town nothing even shows up about our town. Seriously. Just a bunch of articles about beach towns in Florida and Hawaii and such. ((Plus it doesn't seem like you're a creepy stalker. But more the first reason.)) We're not even on the internet. I find that odd for some reason...)

Haha! Yeah, I live west coast too. It's basically the housing district for the excess of Sacramento. I live like two hundred yards from the town border.

And I'm not a stalker, no matter what my middle school friends say.

Cool. Never been to Sacramento...there's no way I'd be able to live there though. I'm a California beach girl, tried and true even if I did live in New York till I was five. How's the weather there?
