I like dragon themes. I have "dragon's fire" as nick on many forums so, do I have to explain why I like this pic?

It's not hard to think that Dragons are just the Coolest fucking MYTH ever created!
Not at all.
I think everyone like Dragons secretly.

Mmhh.. no comment? That's strange...
There is so much here that appeals to my senses.
Lets start with the background, i'm impressed.. it has that ancient bone-feel to it. Those cracks really bring out the age, so does the slight coloration of it.. it's like it has been lying around for a while, exposed to nature (sun, rain, wind). The only thing that detracts from that impression are the borders. they don't give me that feeling of solidness, of 3d.
The figure itself has two layers to me: the black outline on the bone and the raised figure itself. To me its like the black outline is all that remains of it being carved out, it's where the tool left its mark.. It's like nature has eroded this fine details and those original toolmarks are all that's left of the original carving.
After the erosion the dragon that's left is far more stylised than detailled, but it fits in this story. It adds to that sense of being ancient. I like how you did a slight colorchance on it. It's a very clean design. It does have that 3d-feel you strived for. I like the smoothness of this figure, it really fits in with the overall impression.
All this leaves me to wonder where it has been, what it has experienced, what story there is behind it: who carved it, why,... That ancient feel really raises a lot of questions and at the same time allready teels a tale: its erosion, its original carving size,..
I really like it.. it's a great piece!
