Bolin sat in his home sipping his nice cup of tea. It's been years since Avatar Korra was killed in that freak snow accident. Being the Avatar she should have survived but she was old and the snow crushed her bones. She was stuck under the snow without anyone noticing. Her husband and her friends thought her soul searching trip was just taking longer then usual.
Bolin sighed. If only they were smarter. Avatar Korra passed. And soon so did her husband and Bolins wife.

Bolin had a son and a daughter both non-benders. The son was a commander in the United Nations Army and his daughter was off in the Fire Kingdom with her boyfriend. They were destined to be married soon, sadly Bolin would not make it to the wedding the doctors said he would kick the bucket in about three weeks. One week after Avatar sayuko was assigned to go to the Air Temple to train in Airbending with Jinora.

Although Sayuko was the Avatar he wasn't the best bender. It took him a a year to learn Earthbending and he still hasn't perfected Waterbending no matter how hard Korra's daughter Kotarra has tried to teach him. Sayuko was born an earthbender but he wasn't the best.However when Korra had died there was a test among the children with answers only the Avatar would pick and Sayuko had all the right answers.

Bolin looked outside, as usual instead of training Sayuko was meditating. Which was important to the Avatar. But Sayuko must learn all four elements in order to gain full ownership of the title.

"Sayuko! Are you done with your training on Waterbending?" Bolin asked

Sayuko eyes opened wide. His blonde short hair was still wet from failing at the waterbending training with the video Kotarra left him.

"Uh...sure?" Sayuko lied.

Bolin sighed once again, he punched the air and the rock Sayuko was sitting on shot him up straight in the air.  Sayuko's scream awoke the entire Rebuplic City as he fell down straight into Bolin's pond.

Bolin was standing above him with a disappointing  look on his face.

"Sorry Master Bolin. I got distracted again. The spirit world called to me and I had to go! I even met some past Avatars!" Sayuko said with a huge grin on his face.

Bolin tossed Sayuko a towel and started to lecture him again. Obviously Bolin has changed over the years.

" Sayuko it is important to  connect with your Spiritual side but you haven't mastered a single element beside your birth element. And it took a year to master that! You're supposed to learn Waterbending but Kotarra had to leave on important matters so we have to give you to Milo to learn Airbending. We're skipping basically the order we agreed on because you're to lazy to learn!" Bolin shouted.

Sayuko was silent and so was Bolin. The tension between the two had become very tense.

"What does it matter. Did you see the rally yesterday? They said I was a joke. That the Avatar wasn't needed anymore. They had pictures of me burned."

Bolin put his hand on Sayuko's shoulder.

"Sometimes citizens of Rebublic City can be...very uncooperative. Look up there." Bolin said. He pointed to the huge statue. It was a circle that had the pictures of the greatest Avatars. All the avatars were up there except Avatar Roku. For some believed it was he that started the 100-year war.

"Those are the Avatars there great people who saved the world. And kept balance. We need the Avatar. We need you Sayuko."

Sayuko's dark mood lightened. Then all of the sudden a siren went off. Bolin and Sayuko looked up and coming from the sky was Jinora flying an Airbender plane.
