"Excuse me Mr.Pig what exactly are you?" Xander asked the pig.

"I'm Hephestus the Tepig, but we'll chat later" the pokemon siad as he launched a tackle at RipClaws.

"Come on RipClaws stop playing around and destroy that piece of bacon" Cheren shouted.

RipClaws launched at Hephestus and landed a tackle, but Hephestus got back up and tackled RipClaws again. RipClaws launched another tackle at Hephestus and hit the pig landing a poweful attack.

"Oh god Hephestus!" Xander screamed as his new companion hit the floor.

Bianca gasped as she saw blood on Ripclaws' forehead and blood on Hephetus' side. Xander started to tear us as his partner didn't move for about a minute. However the tepig did get up, and he furiously charged at RipClaws and knocked the pokemon against the wall. Hephestus was about to finish the job Xander picked up his pokemon and held it in his arms. Hephestus looked at Xander and smiled at his new trainer and fell asleep to rest.

Cheren recalled his pokemon.

" You bitch! You think you can show me mercy!! Don't think because you won this battle will mean you'll win the rest you hear me." Cheren screamed as he ran out of the house.

Xander was blown away with what was happening when he turned to Bianca she was on her knees sobbing.

-Later at route 1-

"It's okay honey some people never knew about the disease" Xander's mother said as she tried to comfort Bianca.

" Yeah but..pokemon dying I just got Angelica I don't want to lose her." Bianca said as she weeped.

In front of Bianca Xander was looking at Hephestus and Angelica the Snivy play a simple game of tag. He was so shocked about the creatures. He wondered how it was possible that they could even hold such overwhelming power.

"Listen Bianca today was an eventful day, Xander finally awoke from his coma, and you all got your new companions. Even though Cheren tired to hurt Xander today shouldn't be wasted with your tears." the mother told the young girl.

"You're right..I'll just have to make sure noone dies on my jounrey." Bianca replied as she wiped away her tears.

"That's the spirit Bianca! Xander how are you feeling son?"

"Fine mom..but..was Cheren always like this?"

"No. He was different he was so kind and smart. You and him were best friends. But this morning he was darker like something was wrong. I had no idea that he would try and kill his best friend's pokemon. It's so unlike him" Bianca answered

"Could this be a result of me not remembering anything" Xander thought..

"So. Can pokemon talk?" Xander asked.

Bianca laughed and so did the mom.

" No silly all they do is repeat their names." Bianca replied.

" Looks like you're one of the lucky ones kid. There are few who have the ability to communicate with pokemon." Hephestus told his trainer.

"Really? That's cool." Xander said.

"Well I'm of to Acumulla I'll see you there Xander." Bianca said as she left to the town with her snivy.

"Bianca's such a nice girl" the mother said.

"Well honey, it's time for you to go to. Be careful out there okay." the kind women said as she kissed her son on the forehead.

"Love you to mom" Xander said.

"I'm sorry about you're memory being lost but you'll remember on you're journey. Seeing your dad might be the thing that sparks your memory. Now don't forget to keep your pokemon safe." the mom said.

" I will mom. Goodbye. Come on Hephestus." Xander said as he ran to Route 1 ready for adventure.

"Alright kid rules are rules. So we need to find a new teammate." Hephestus said.

"Yeah good idea." Xander relpied.

There was a rustling in the bushes and a pokemon jumped out and landed on Xander.

"AHH!! What the heck is thing?" he said as held the puppy pokemon in the air.

" That's our new teammate. She's a Lillipup. What's your name new teamate?" Hephestus asked the energetic pup pokemon.

"I'm Okami Mr.Pig. Nice to meet you." Okami the lilipup replied.
