"Hephetus! What's wrong?" Xander said as his pokemon's form started to change.

"That Xander is called the process of evolution. I have to say I'm suprised it evolved already." a grown woman's voice explained.

Xander and Bianca looked at Hephestus as he became an entirely new pokemon.

" Xander your Tepig has just became a Pignite.!" the grown woman said. Bianca turned around to a woman in a lab coat. She was smiling at the two kids.

" Proffessor Juniper!" Bianca exclaimed as she ran up to the professor and hugged her.

"It's good to see you to Bianca!" Juniper said.

Xander looked at his new pokemon. Instead of being a small and innocent looking big he looked as if he was a champion fighter.

"Hephetus? How do you feel buddy?" Xander whispered.

"I feel fine. Just taller. Ain't that right shorty" the Pignite said as he patted Okami's head.

"I'm not short bacon head! Stop being such a jerk just cuz you evolved!" Okami shouted as she jumped in anger at Hephestus. Xander smiled at his pokemon, but as soon as happiness hit his face he looked at the grave of Patty and collapsed to the ground.

-Next Day-

"Wake up Xander. Please tell me you're not in another coma." Juniper said as she sat near the boy's bed in the pokemon center.

Professor Juniper felt horrible knowing that Xander's accident was all her fault; instead of persuading the boy to have fun near the edge she should have been a more responsible adult. Instead of joking around with the three kids she should have told them to stay away from the edge. The proffessor sighed in agony. This entire memory lost fiasco was all her fault.

" I'm so dumb." Juniper said as she pressed her hand to her stomach.

" How can I-" she was about to say before Xander woke up from his slumber.

" What? Where am I?" Xander asked.

"You're in the Pokemon Center, in Striaton Nurse Joy looked after you and said you needed some rest. It happens to many others who lose their 1st pokemon." Juniper explained.

Suddenly, Xander remembered Patty's face as she was mercilessly beaten to a pulp, by a cruel trainer. And a demonic Lillipup. However the fear that struck him the most was the trainer's voice. It smashed fear into Xander's frail heart.

" It's okay this kind of stuff happens. But its' impossible to quit now. The league has made it a law that trainers can't quit unless they're entire party has been killed or in case of special incidents." Juniper said as she held her head down.

" So.. we can't quit. So then what? What am I supposed to do?" Xander asked.

"Simple get all eight badges. Then beat the league. Or fail. In the leauge battle like Gym leaders it's a fight to the death. So that's always there to think about. Cheren left this morning to challenge the gym he should be done by now. You better hurry." Juniper said.

" Yeah. You're right." Xander said.

Proffessor Juniper left the room as Xander started to change. When he walked out of his Pokemon Center room there was a pokemon in fron of his door. It held a note in it's hand.

Dear Xander. I don't want you to lose. You and your friends so I gave you all a pokemon that might have an advantage in the gym.

From Juniper.

Acquired Tree Money/Pansage Lv.10 Male Naive Nature.

" Nice to meet you little guy." Xander said as he patted the monkey's head.

" A kid that can communicate with us. Intresting. Alright then kiddo let's take on that gym shall we?" Tree Money said.

-At the gym-

"Damn! Come on! RipClaws finish it!" Cheren's voice said at the back of the gym.

"That was Cheren!" Xander said as he tried to run to Cheren.

Suddenly two trainers appeared in front of him.

"Sorry sir. But you shan't past till you beat us. And remember it's a fight to the death." the male waiter said.

Okami emerged from its pokeball and started attacking the trainers pokemon. Xander ignored Okami knowing the little pup would be fine. He reached the stadium and saw Cheren fighting a man with green hair. Xander looked around and saw that a fire monkey pokemon similar to Tree Money was choked to death by a vine. Cheren obviously didn't care because he was to busy screaming orders at his Purrlion to kill the Pansage.

Purrlion slashed the Pansage's head off. Winning it's trainer the match. Cheren recalled his pokemon into it's pokeball and took the badge from Cillan. He left without giving Xander a glance.

A blue haired man looked at Xander and said

"You must be the new challenger. Hello I'll be your opponet" the blue haired man said
