"So. How are we getting back at Cheren?" Okami asked.

"I'm going to find him and make him pay for what he did to them," Xander said as they left the gym with their newly acquired badge from the 2nd gym leader.

" Yeah I handled that gym leader Lenora easily," Hephestus said.

Xander played a false smile at his pokemon. He was still saddened by what had happened to Jun, Loftwing, and Tree Money.

"Okay Xan?" Zuzu asked.

" I'm fine Zuzu but we should really get going."

Xander recalled his pokemon and departed into Pinwheel Forest.

Inside Pinwheel Forest, Xander went to search for another pokemon to catch. However after three hours, our hero was starting to get very annoyed.

"Ugh. This is literally taking centuries and I haven't found one pokemon," Xander complained.

The boy looked around the forest for any sign of a pokemon, but it was in vain, for not a single pokemon appeared.

Xander sat down and fell on his back.

"I don't mean to interrupt, but could you please get off me sir," a small voice said.

Xander got up and beneath him was a small plant pokemon.

"Uh... sorry about that... ?" Xander said.

"My name is Lilly the Petilil," the pokemon said.

Xander sent out Hephestus in order to help him understand what exactly a Petilil was, considering Xander had no idea.

"Alright kid, who's our new team... m-m-m-mate," Hephestus said as he stuttered upon the sight of Lilly. Hephestus blushed slightly and started to cough violently.

"Is something wrong, Mr.Pignite?" Lilly asked.

"It's fine. My n-name is Hephestus by the way."

"Yeah and I'm Xander, were kinda short a teamate so would you mind joining us?" Xander asked.

"No. I'm sorry but I won't join you on your pointless and dangerous adventure," Lilly told them.

"Seriously. Please you're the first pokemon we've seen. If we don't catch you, I can't get a pokemon in this area... and we could really use another friend," Xander begged.

"No. These adventures are dangerous to us pokemon. I can't believe you would even ask such a question!" Lilly said.

Lilly started to walk away but instead ran into a tree that was plainly right in front of her. Hephestus and Xander ran to make sure the small pokemon was alright.

"Are you okay Lilly?" Hephestus asked as the Petilil lay unconscious in his hands.

"We have to take her to the Pokemon Center! Leaving her like this could be drastic," Xander said as he grabbed Lilly from Hephestus and started to run to the center in Nacrence City, with Hephestus following closely behind.

-2 hours later-

"Well, your pokemon shall be fine now, young man, but I beg of you to be more careful," Nurse Joy told Xander.

"Actually she isn't mine. I found her and she was unconscious but still alive. And since, you know, with the disease and all," Xander told the nurse.

"I see, well. I have to tell you something," Nurse Joy said.

"Sure, what is it."

"That poor Petilil..." Nurse Joy drew her breath.

"... is blind."

Part 2
On account of League rules, Lilly had to join Xander and his team, because she was a disabled pokemon.

"She's blind! How is she going to fight?" Okami screamed over and over as the team made their way to Castelia City.

"Nurse Joy said she's our responsibility. Besides Lilly's a nice person, she could be a valuable team member," Xander said.

"Fine whatever. Just don't bother switching me in when she needs help," Okami said as Xander recalled the talkative pokemon.

When Xander reached Castelia City he was overwhelmed by the sights of the place. The buildings were enormous and the lights were as bright as a midnight star. Xander roamed around the city for hours trying to find the pokemon center so he could rest for the night. His pokemon needed a break as well.

"Xander, there you are!" someone said behind him.

Xander turned around to see Bianca with a young girl.

"Hey Bianca. Who's your friend?" Xander asked.

"My name is Iris! The best dragon-pokemon master in the entire Unova region!" the girl named Iris said.

"Nice to meet you Iris. My name is Xander."

"Xander? Bianca told me so much about you. She said you're on the gym challenge too! She said you're a really great trainer is that true?"

" After the others, I'm not so sure anymore." Xander thought.

"Something wrong, kid?" Iris asked.

"Iris. Don't bother Xander, I'm sure he's just trying to be modest is all. So Xander, are you trying to find the pokemon center?" Bianca asked.

"Yeah. This place is so big it's hard to fi-" but before Xander could finish his sentence a group of Team Plasma members ran into the three trainers and took off as fast as possible!

"What the heck! Who were those guys?" Iris said.

"Team Plasma? What are they doing here," Xander said.

"Oh no! They took my pokemon!" Bianca said.

Xander checked his belt to see that his pokemon were gone as well.

"Those bastards! I'm going to kill them!" Xander shouted in anger.

"No need sir. I saw the whole thing and I'd be happy to help." a strong voice said behind them.

Behind the three trainers was a small green ancient pokemon with a orange pokemon holding up his pants.

"No way! A Larvitar and a Scraggy!" Iris said, not even noticing her pokemon were missing as well.

"You must be that kid who can communicate with pokemon," the Larvitar said.

"How do you know that?" Xander asked.

"Word travels fast around the pokemon world. So when we heard there was a trainer who we can communicate with we tried to find you." the Scraggy said.

"My name is Scar The Larvitar and my friend is Bruno. We'd be delighted to join your team to make sure your safety," Scar said.

"Seriously that'd be amazing! Thanks!"

"So... does he think he can talk to pokemon or something?" Iris whispered to Bianca.

"I have no idea. He asked about it... I hope he's not going crazy."

"Come on ladies, let's go!" Xander told the two.

-Team Plasma's secret base of operations-

Hephestus was protecting his teamates, who were seriously damaged since they hadn't reached the pokemon center. In front of him were ten Patrats and seven Woobats.

"Lilly stay back!" Hephestus told the blind pokemon as she tried to stand by Hephestus's side.

"But I want to help!" Lilly said.

"Damn it Lilly just stay back I got this!" Hephestus shouted, but soon he was attacked by two Woobats psychic attacks. Immediately he was out of energy.

"Hephestus!" Lilly shouted. Lilly used Magical Leaf on the Woobats but missed completly. But she wouldn't give up, she kept throwing attacks until she made her mark.

The enemy pokemon laughed at how weak Lilly was.

"Shut up! I can do this," Lilly took a deap breath and concentrated on the smell of the enemy pokemon. She used magical leaf on all the Patrats;therefore knocking them out!

"I did it! Hephestus did you see! I did it..." Lilly collapsed by Hephestus and started to tear. Hephestus opened his eyes and saw his love tearing up.

"Don't cry, Xander's on his way... I'm sure of it... besides I'll protect you." Hephetus said as he compassionately kissed Lilly on the lips.

"I love you as well Hephestus." Lilly said.

Before they could kiss again, Xander emerged into the room with Scar and Bruno by his side. The two defeated the Woobats and Xander punched a Plasma Grunt in the face. In panic the other Plasma Grunts dropped the stolen pokemon and ran away. Of course, Xander did punch and kick a few on their way out.

Iris went to Xander's pokemon and healed them with her portable healing center.

"Are you guys alright?" Xander asked his pokemon.

"Fine," Zuzu said.

"Awesome. These are are new teamates Bruno and Scar," Xander told them.

"Nice to meet you, welcome to the team," Okami said.

"What a marvelous performance, darlings!" said a very colorful voice...
