"Distortion," said the strange voice.

Xander woke up in a dark room where his shadow was white. He tried to speak but no words left his mouth.

"Something that happens as a result of a being that doesn't exist in that dimension," said a different voice - one that sounded feminine.

Xander tried to move but he noticed he was strapped down to a chair that wasn't there before. He looked at his hands and noticed that his skin color was different. He tried to see where he was but the room was so dark.

"Dimensions... something that shan't be interfered with," said a commanding voice. The floor opened up beneath Xander and he fell through.

Xander awoke sweating. He eyes his surroundings and noticed this time he was in the pokemon center. Xander called the nurse to ask her what happened. In rushed Nurse Joy, Bianca, and Xander's mother.

"Oh Xander! My baby! Mommy's so glad you're awake!"

"I'm fine mom. How long have I been asleep, anyways?"

"Xander... you've been unconscious for three months," Bianca said.

Xander eyes opened with shock, he couldn't believe he was asleep for so long.

"The leauge turned off the challenge till you woke up since it was all N's fault," Bianca said, holding her head down, not wanting to meet Xander's face.

"N's fault. What are you talking about?"

"The police came with Cheren, they said N abducted you in the Desert Ruins. He's been sent to prison. Noone's been allowed to see him," the mother said.

Xander pushed his mother away and leaped from the bed. He grabbed his bag and ran out the door to find the Nimbasa Jail.

"Xander wait!" Nurse Joy and his mom said.

Xander ran as fast as he could, ignoring the searing pain his back gave him as he sprinted. He ran straight into the police station and smashed his hands on the front desk.

"I need to see who's in charge now!!" Xander shouted.

Nurse Joy, Xander's mom, and a woman with strange yellow hair emerged into the room. The woman grabbed Xander by the arm and placed her face near his.

"You wanted to see who's in charge, brat? Well here I am. Name's Elesa," she said. Her breath smelt like she'd been recently smoking.

"The boy you arrested three months ago! He didn't harm me! It was Cheren, his pokemon did this to me!"

"Really now? Well, it won't matter anyways, the boy's father came and picked him up a week after he was arrested. Besides, you're still hurt. For all we know N could have forced you to not squeal," she said pushing Xander against the wall.

She left the station, leaving a very ominous feeling in the room.

"Xander, listen honey. I don't care who did it but I'm just glad you're okay. Come on, my little man, we need to get you some new clothes."

"Alright mom," Xander said remembering that his new clothes were ruined in the accident.

Xander bought himself a new pair of clothes under the same color and brand as the old one.

Xander went to find Bianca who was enjoying a nice lunch with her father.

"Oh dad, I'm so glad you let me go on my journey. It's been really sad losing some pokemon but it's also been amazing!" Bianca said as she hugged her father.

"I love you Bianca, I'm glad you went on this journey," her father said.

Xander entered the room to a loving family scene. He smiled at how close the two were.

But that's when the scene started to change.

Bianca's father suddenly grabbed Bianca by the wrist, and proceeded to slap her across the face.

Xander looked around the room to see if anybody would help but not even a single soul turned around to bother with them.

Xander started to run twords Bianca and her suddenly abusive father and as he got closer he could hear the same commanding voice in his dream saying something that would leave anyone with even more questions.

"Distortions. Who would make such a thing?"

Xander rushed to the father and grabbed his wrist before he could slap his daughter again.

"What's wrong with you?" Xander asked the man.

"What's wrong with you, punk! This is between me and my daughter who is coming home right now!" (this will be in Italics) the father said, as he pushed Xander to the ground.

He then proceeded to grab his daughter by the neck and started to shout in her face.

"Hey asshole! I told you to leave her alone!" Xander smashed into the man and Bianca fell to the floor.

Xander got up and summoned Hephestus and Okami to his side.

"Kid? What's going on here?" Hephestus asked.

Bianca's father summoned his own pokemon as well, one being a Sigilyph and a Roggenrola as well.

"Come on then punk let's do this!" Bianca's father shouted.

"You guys can handle these punks right! I'm going to make sure daddy here doesn't get to Bianca," Xander told his pokemon as he ran to Bianca to defend and help her.

Hephestus ran to the Roggenrola and smashed it into pieces with Arm Thrust as Okami shredded the Sigilyph to pieces.

Bianca's father ran to Xander and threw his fist into's Xander's face. He quickly grabbed another pokeball around his waist and brought out a different pokemon. It had the body of a dragon and screamed with anger.

"What the hell is that?!" Xander screamed. Xander looked around for assistance from citizens but it seemed as if nobody cared about the two kids with the abusive father.

"Selfish bitches," Xander muttered to himself.

"Xander. Charizard. Charizard... Kill him," Bianca's father said.

The pokemon Charizard rushed at Xander and used his tail to smash him into the wall.

Bianca ran to her father, trying to persaude him to stop. But Charizard built with anger smashed his tail into Bianca's face. The fire hit her face hard and she fell to the ground in complete pain.

"Bianca!" Xander managed to say before Charizard smashed his tail into Xander again. Okami and Hephestus tried to help but it was futile, Charizard was to strong for all of his pokemon. Bianca's dad grabbed his daughter by the hair and slapped her again.

"I... said... t... le-" Xander said, before his eyes closed on him.

"Jeez kid, you have an issue with blinking in and out of consciousness," said a voice that had the same smokey smell from earlier.

Xander opened his eyes to see Elesa smoking yet again. Around the restaurant there were paramedics and the whole placed seem burned.

"Bianca... the Charizard... what happened?"

"All taken care of by me. Your friend Bianca's been taken to the hospital, her father's been sent to jail, and we had to put the Charizard... down. Your pokemon have been sent to the pokemon center. They should be up and running by tommorow."

"Seriously? Damn... all by yourself... ? How long was I out?"

"About 30 minutes. What you did here today was very corageous. I'll be waiting for your gym battle in one week," Elesa said.

"You're the gym leader and police chief? And I have to wait a whole week?!"

"Either that or a month. Besides it gives you a chance to train. With me you'll need it. Now you should go check on your friend Bianca."

"Thanks," Xander said as he ran to the hospital to check on Bianca.

When he got there Bianca was on a hospital bed with a bandage wrapped around the right side of her face.

"Xander! You're okay!" Bianca said.

Xander hugged Bianca, crying over what had happened to her.

"It's okay, it's just a nasty scar, is all," Bianca said.

"Is it. How badly did he hurt you?"

"His Charizard hit me with it's tail. I got burned, Doctors said it was permanent. I'll learn to live with it though."

"Bianca... why didn't you tell me your father was abusive?" Xander said.

"Xander... he never was... in fact he was happy I was going on this journey he gave me a new Musharna when my old one died in the battle with Lenora... he's never acted like this before."

Xander looked at Bianca her eyes were filled with sadness.

"Bianca... I'll always protect you," Xander said as he kissed Bianca.

"Jeez kid, you have an issue with blinking in and out of consciousness," said a voice that had the same smokey smell from earlier.

Xander opened his eyes to see Elesa smoking yet again. Around the restaurant there were paramedics and the whole placed seem burned.

"Bianca... the Charizard... what happened?"

"All taken care of by me. Your friend Bianca's been taken to the hospital, her father's been sent to jail, and we had to put the Charizard... down. Your pokemon have been sent to the pokemon center. They should be up and running by tommorow."

"Seriously? Damn... all by yourself... ? How long was I out?"

"About 30 minutes. What you did here today was very corageous. I'll be waiting for your gym battle in one week," Elesa said.

"Either that or a month. Besides it gives you a chance to train. With me you'll need it. Now you should go check on your friend Bianca."

"Thanks," Xander said as he ran to the hospital to check on Bianca.

When he got there Bianca was on a hospital bed with a bandage wrapped around the right side of her face.

"Xander! You're okay!" Bianca said.

Xander hugged Bianca, crying over what had happened to her.

"It's okay, it's just a nasty scar, is all," Bianca said.

"Is it. How badly did he hurt you?"

"His Charizard hit me with it's tail. I got burned, Doctors said it was permanent. I'll learn to live with it though."
