My mother in law brought me a picture of this child which she saw in a Winter theme powerpoint presentation...so...I just had to draw her...

You wanna know about the type of paper I use? Well, actually I do not know the brand or type...
It is a relatively thick type of inking paper: used by people who make postcards etc. through ink with stamps on paper.The paper does not take in the ink so it stays on top of the paper to dry and thus it gives stronger colors.
The surface is as smooth as photo-print paper, but not sticky. I buy it at a hobby shop...

yes, and because the surface is so smooth you can fade right back to the white of the paper if you want and then smudge again because the graphite does not sink into the paper(this works great on the hair: I make white lines with the electric eraser, then smudge it and then add more white lines in three or four layers. So I get depth in the hair.
When my drawing is ready I do not have to put a finish spray on it, because you cannot smudge the drawing just by going over it with your hand. The graphite sticks very well to the paper. I love to work on this paper! hahaha...but indeed the paper has improved the quality/result of my drawings a lot! So tools are important!

Hi there, yes we had good snow this year and a lot of fun from it...finally a white christmas!
Now we are facing floods...ahhhhhh...I moved out of the flood area years ago...in 1995 I liveed in a flooded area, I went through the street with a canoe...hahahaha, now the water in our river has risento just below the top of the dikes...if one spot breaks, it is Β΄Houston we have a problem!Β΄...
