Description Can you see the living as they scurry through your domain?
The buttercups and daisies growing wild as
the grass that conceals your bed,
The lighter, empty of fuel,
discarded by the bench;
Tell me, do you see it?

Can you smell the cigarettes of youths
who gather now, where those
who lie beside you, once stood.
The unmistakable scent
of freshly mown grass;
Tell me, do you smell it?

Can you feel the dusty soil as it consumes you?
The wind that stirs the trees, it's roots
entangled in your bones.
The first rays of spring that
radiate through your ground;
Tell me, do you feel it?

Can you hear the chatter of the birds
at the first flight of their young,
Or the distant peel of church bells
as they permeate the calm?
Do our footsteps, as we wander past your grave,
disturb your sleep?
Tell me, do you hear us?
