Apparently it should be everywhere...the optical trick of the moon happens on the longest day of the year so if you have a not so powerful camera (like me) you can actually photograph it!

That was the angle at which i took the picture....using a high shutterspeed meant that i couldn't light up any of the foreground leaving it very empty and i thought this might beef up the shot a little.....

and by luck it worked!

i know what you mean...i've done it before and ended up with clouds...it sucks but then i think last night was the night for amatuer photographers to ake pictures of the moon....

i thought DA would be swamped with these kinds of pics though?...

the blurring is really not all that noticable. I think the sheer beauty of the subject overshadows it. Its a great shot though, wish i could get such detail from my moon shots, but i need a better camera.
