commission for KelbornSR @Βhis home brewΒ Hawaiian themed chapter. Based on the ancient hawaiian Koa warriors.
Being a chieftain and furthermore a veteran / member of the 1st company,
it is required to hunt one sky serpent by yourself with nothing more than your mind and your axe.
As a reward he is welcomed into the chapters veterans and he is allowed to wear the hide of the slain serpent as a status symbol.

Might be my new favorite homebrew Chapter. And I just now found out about it. Koa warriors inspired, makes me wonder if the Storm Riders might be descended from the Salamanders.

The blue screams Ultrasmurfs but the name screams White Scars successor to me, but hey who knows. The Salamanders and Space Wolves need successors after all.

i can really see that this commission must have been fun to do. very nice result!
the only tiny 5 cents:
both the crotch towel and the croc skin texture look a bit too clean and distract from your really nice and smooth hand painted rendering of the armor. sometimes just a bit of gaussian blur and a quickly brushed in noise into a layer mask can make textures blend in more naturally
