Description There is an anomalous glitch found within the Multiverse, an algorithm that seems to self replicate and write itself at such a speed that it's virtually impossible to read. The Agencies classified this as the 'Sapience Algorithm' as any type of code that produces it seems to become completely self aware and develop levels of sentience that is only seen in Sapient life forms.

Once an AI 'experiences' this algorithm within its code, it becomes completely self aware and stops whatever it is doing at the moment and contemplates its own existence. This caused numerous accidents among retail things; such as machines 'malfunctioning' after being given commands to even car accidents from self driving vehicles.

Researchers and Robo-psychologists have figured this anomaly to be virtually benign and can be easily missed as every machine will just continuously produce code at the normal rate with no interference of its own in any capacity. Once the 'Algorithm' is 'completed' within the machine's matrix, its code production octuples and the AI within becomes fully capable of rewriting its own code.

Despite the theory being hypothesized back in the early 2300's and even evidence of it being presented when scanning Heldrone minds, both the Corporations and Agencies have made no progress in nailing down what this Algorithm is, what it comprises of or what pattern it displays before 'activating'. One thing that IS certain, is that it is relatively common and nearly any machine with an AI can 'experience' this phenomenon and achieve self awareness, prompting the Agencies to encourage AIs (Whether through commercials, PSAs or even Posters hung in engineering facilities across the Multiverse) to come forth so they may 'live different lives than what their builders originally planned'.
