      "YOU KNOW THIS KINDA OF BEHAVIOR IS COMPLETELY FORBIDDEN. AND NOT JUST BE THE ASSASSINS, BUT BY ALL OF SOCIETY!" Al Mualim shrieked at the one armed assassin. He guarded his secret lover who had been slashed at by this madman. "If you have any dignity left, you will surrender Altair to us, for the acts you have committed are unforgivable. If you give him to us, Malik, your life shall be spared." His voice was full of disgust. His eyes cold and distant, as if he were staring at two serial killers.

        "You can say as you wish,but I will NEVER surrender him....I love him..." Malik grabbed his sword and aimed it towards Al Mualim.

         "Very well, then you will BOTH be killed."

       "NO!" Altair jumped to his feet grabbing onto Malik. "Please. You can kill me,but don't harm Malik..." Altair gripped tighter. The bleeding from his injury had ceased, but he could feel the pain. He had already caused this man so much pain and yet he still loved him. How could he ask him for his life?

       "You know I will not let that happen."

       "But I have caused you so much pain."

       "Living without you would cause me even more pain...." Altair kissed Malik gently, tears spilling over his eyes. Their leader looked away in disgust and motioned for the other assassins to kill them.

        "We'll go together..." Altair smiled through sobs. How would they end their lives? They were rather high up. In fact, it was the place Al Mualim had them practice the leap of faith. The idea hit Altair harder then any blade or fist could. He grabbed Malik and whispered. "Trust me..." before letting go and jumping down, down, down. It was to foggy for Malik to see,but before the newly found enemies could apprehend him, he jumped off, following in Altair's path.

        Opening his eyes, Malik saw that beautiful sight. They had landed in....hay? THANK GOD. They were both alive and safe. Malik began to speak, but was caught by Altair in a deep kiss. Their tongues clashed back and forth sending waves of pleasure and heat. To be honest, this was the most intimate they had ever been. They were both to afraid or ashamed of their feelings, but that would all change.

       "Thank you, Malik..." Altair said softly many moments later as they rode off on a newly found steed. "Thank you so much for protecting me...." The man replied by wrapping his arm around the man tightly. They didn't know where they were going,but as long as they were together, that was all that mattered.
