   Alex had felt the feeling creeping up into the pit of his stomach since his younger brother way born. He wasn't needed anymore. Or more so, he never was. He thought the cruel treatment his dad gave him, like swinging him hard on the park swing set until he threw up, was normal.He thought that fact his mother never held him, kissed him, or comforted him was normal. He realized that wasn't the case. His father loved his little brother, Josh. He would actually SMILE at his brother. Alex was only fifteen, and yet he was treated like a stranger in his household, while his brother was treated like a prince. Why was he treated this way?

    "HEY FAGGOT!" A larger, much stronger boy yelled to Alex as he tried to enter school grounds and walk to class. 'Ohs...' and 'Ahs...' could be heard among the young adolescents as they knew some type of drama was soon to follow. "YEAH...I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!" The boy shoved Alex from behind, causing him to fall on his knees. Instead of giving into the boy's desire for confrontation, Alex simply stood up, dusted himself off, and picked up his books, his eyes fixed on walking into the school gates. He heard first, and then felt, a loud thud on the back of his head. The boy just wouldn't give up. "AW COME ON SHEPHERD! NO GONNA SAY NUTHIN?" The boy egged him on.

   "You aren't worth it...." Alex tried to blink back the tears as he faced the young boy.

    "Aw, what are you gonna do, go home and cry to your parents? Oh wait...like they'd give a shit...." The kid laughed and soon his little group of followers and other teens joined in on giggling. Alex didn't feel much for his parents, so it only stung a little,but then this high school bully struck a nerve. Everyone knew how much attention Alex paid to his brother. He loved him, after all, and Josh didn't judge him. "OR MAYBE YOU'RE GONNA GO HOME AND FONDLE YOUR LITTLE BROTHER, HUH? FREAK."

    He couldn't hold it back anymore. He dropped his textbooks and lunged forward. All Alex remembered was seeing red, blood. Not his blood,but the other boy's as he pounded his face in, braking his nose and nearly his jaw.

   Outside the principal's office. The other boy had already been driven to the hospital. Alex sat in the principal's office. He had already be chewed out by the head of the school and would be suspended for some time. He was surprised he wasn't expelled. He bite his nails as he waited for his father to finish speaking with the principal.

   "Let's go, boy..." his father said heartlessly. Kids stared and gasped at Alex who was practically unharmed from in confrontation with the biggest teen in school. When he tried to motion to Elle, she simply looked away in disgust.

    Alex could still feel the new cuts, whips, bruises, and burns from his punishment. He wanted to end it all. The boy rocked back and forth in pain on his bed, to hurt to cry. Both physically and emotionally. He wanted to end it all,but knew he would never have the guts to even do that.
