Here he is, more or less standing on his own! My little prince of magpies is on his way to an outfit.He's due on Tuesday, so excuse the mixed up feet! I just wanted to get him more or less fitted for his outfit. Not sure what to do about shoes, though... He may stay barefoot, but that's not befitting of a prince.
I'm thinking that I'll make his outfit tonight and try and get his companion doll finished as well. Then tomorrow is sanding and a face up, as well as his eyes being placed where they will stay, as opposed to... Whatever they're doing now.

He turned out to be really heavy, as expected, and I messed up the joints for most of the knees and elbows = 7= He was a bit of a disappointment, mainly since he doesn't wear his clothes too well. A HUGE learning experience, though.

How did you "mess" the joints up? Was there an issue with the flexibility and/or the movement? You can, sometimes, gently carve and sand to make the joints more moveable and malleable. It is a pity about the clothing but that can be adjusted, sometimes? To hide any issues with either the anatomy, or the fitting?
I still think it's brilliant that you gave it a go and you did actually pull him altogether. Yes, he's not perfect but you made one. And, as you said, it's a learning experience. Next time you try, it will b better.

Eh, the balls don't fit into the sockets correctly and a whole mess of other stuff = 7= The clothes hide it, yeeeah.

Awww, thanks! I'm working on his jacket now. He's really rather small, so it's really hard to get the clothes to lay nicely on him. Not to mention in order for a lot of mobility, they need to be a little baggy, and his neck's too short, and yada yada...

I'll be fine with my AC that blows the whole house in here XD
I just mostly go outside in mornings or night which is cooler.
I go out a lot in day time when its fall/winter or a fine cool day.
