Description
The Earth Colonial Federation employs conventional infantry with its armed forces troops known as Naval Infantry, forces are comprised of men and women from earth and her colonies. The soldiers receive minimal augmentations through nano-machine and genetic treatments that allow them to be have more effective and efficient immune systems.

The Colonial Federation operates tanks, Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Armored Personnel Carriers, Close Air Support craft, and Special Operations units. These units, include Sniper Recon, Force Recon, Units dedicated to maintain civil order in regions of conflict. These men and women operate in gender segregated combat units to prevent fornication. Some of the most elite units such as the 113th psycom unit 3rd company "Lioness" specializes in counter insurgency. In the FedCom War from 2090-2101 the 113th disarmed a child army without firing a shot. The majority of naval Infantry deployments are to hunt down neutralize Communist and other Marxist forces in the Colonies who often act as pirates and insurgents. They are also tasked with eliminating Islamic extremists groups that threaten the peace obtained after the Allied Powers won WW3.

Combat armor and Gear

*Camouflaged combat utilities are worn under the armor. The Naval Infantry is known to use a variety of digitized camouflage patterns depending on the environments, including all-grey fatigues, woodland camouflage, urban camouflage, or winter camouflage. The ones seen here are digitized woodland. The uniforms are made from several fabrics, 30% Cotton 50% Kevlar and 20% Nomex nano weaves provide them with complete water resistant.

* Combat boots such as the Nordstorm Rugged All-Terrain boots are worn with the uniform, usually equipped with Carbon fiber additional armor to provide greater protection to the lower leg.

Naval infantry helmets are mounted with high-tech equipment, such as holographic displaying tactical goggles, helmet recorders and microphones. The MMCH3 (Modular Military Combat Helmet) and its variants are standard issue Naval infantry on field operations in more humid locales sometimes choose to wear boonie covers, or those in colder environments don thicker helmets with visors. While these Naval infantry have a Heads Up Display from their helmets, or eye pieces instead of implants. However, some soldiers can receive an implant however these are usually life long soldiers. Gas Masks such as the RA-33 Re-breathers are worn. It features three centered scanning systems that function as kill cameras, scanners and sonic projectors for sonar viewing. MMCH3 was originally not the main helmet of the Earth Colonial Armed Services. It replaced the Northrop Grumman Ballistic Assault Helmet.
M65 Assualt Rifle/Carbine- a 6.5x39mm gas pistol operated weapon with a 30 round magazine made of carbon fiber. The bullet casing are composite materials that absorb heat and sound from discharge of the rifle. The traditional gunpowder of the 21st century is enhanced with 1mg metallic hydrogen. The sound/heat absorbent design doesn't put a end to sound but can reduce the ability to give a position away by sounds.
