Oh yes, green in a skin tone painting is very useful. As a matter of fact many weird and unexpected colours show up! I've been working 2 sessions as a school classic model here in town - JUST the kind of thing you are aiming for here and the teachers always emphasized that green actually IS a very nice addition to a skin tone painting. And since I am SEVERELY pale the students really had to work for it. (I worked 5 weeks at a time - 3 hrs pose each day Mon-Fri!!)
This is the school , and check the Alumni galleries. ARGH!!! They are sooo inspiring! Please note I do NOT live in Italy .- I worked at the smaller branch here in Gothenburgh/MΓΆlndal. ---> [link]

Would you happen to know what kinds of colors they use for people with tan skin? I tend to use either sepia or an indigo color for the underpainting but i dont even know if that's right.

I wish I knew. Some students used a lot of sepia-ish tones for underpaintings but also greys in various shading and tones. I never really asked what they used - just stared at their pictures and went "Guahhhh!"

Green for pale models, eh? I may have to try that. I LOVE that you've drawn a natrual looking woman instead of barbie - and you've made her beautiful with your skill.

you have the figures totally down....
but excuse this: i think you do what i do when figure drawing...i make the heads too small. could that be why the faces dont look right to you??

naw its specifically the face thats bothering me. the spacing is all wrong there. its weird, on the underpainting it looked fine but for some reason when I started layering something got wonked up.
