For this week's *EmoticonOpus "All the King's Horses".

The first thing I thought of after seeing the theme was, of course, Humpty Dumpty. Then the whole "king's horses" thing made me think of knights in chess, which in turn went to chess. And chess kinda fits, I guess, since, well, the pieces are all the king's horses and all the king's men. Or something.

Yes, Ninja chess is different from our chess. For one, they don't bother with saying "checkmate". For another, their boards have less squares, and the pieces don't really follow the squares. Oh, and they start with some pieces on the side of the board. Because they're ninjas.

And introducing the Blue Ninja. The Mad Glomper would be too hyper to play chess, and the unnamed pirate... probably wouldn't be interested, anyway. The Olde Tyme Villain wouldn't take losing too kindly, and I didn't want the Monochromatic Ninja to kill him in self defence. That would've been bad, I assure you.

What else? (Yes, I ramble. A lot.)
Right. I'm really proud of the chess pieces, especially the black ones. The rooks are so adorable. And have you seen the knights? Lovely shading on those. And the crowns? Squeedom. And the... Right. I'll stop now.
