You don't need a liscence to have it in your house, only go to hunting and carry it on the street with you. Or that's what the previous gun laws said. Hell you can carry a rifle on you in public, and apparently you don't need a liscence for that, not even to buy or own one. Pretty messed up, huh?

My friend two years ago bought a magnum from a pawn shop without any ID or anything. He never used it, just put it in a safe. As for the assault rifles, most of the ones that are illegal are the ones that have full auto. Most that are legal only have single shot or burst fire.

Yeah, a little weak-ass .22 rifle. You couldn't even kill a rat with one of those. Ooh. Scary.
As for the pistol, you have to have a permit to even own it. You can't even buy one from a gun shop without a permit. The only guns you can own without a permit/license are a .22 rifle and a shotgun.
Now, yes, I suppose you can own an assault rifle without a license, but that's only because you can't get a license for those... as they are a little bit illegal.. heh.
