Description
The Chitauri are aquatic python people from ancient South African mythology. The myth may be upwards of 5000 years old, making it the oldest sci-fi story (or truth?) The ruler and king of the Chitauri (and the inspiration for Cthulhu) is Umbaba (or Oombaba), the 3 eyed king of the snake men. Umbaba stood over 11 feet tall, had a intelligence far beyond any human's, and despised humans for being loved by God, the Creator of all things. Umbaba chose to have humans genetically altered and mutated, so they were divided into 2 distinct genders, multiple ethnicities, and easily manipulated. Umbaba also decided that his people should rule G0D, so they planned to build up a space fleet of flying pyramids (Mbilubilu) to go to war with G0D Himself.Umbaba and his army was brutally defeated, genetically altered by G0D to have only a hole for a mouth, and all their technology was atomized. Ever since, humanity was able to unite and dominate the Earth and run them back into the ocean. But according to the myth, the Chitauri still exist, hiding in the center of the Earth and struggling to make body-warming technology to heat their cold blood. And worst of all, it is said that Umbaba still lives. He sleeps, deep in the bottom of the ocean off South Africa, asleep in a time capsule and healing. He dreams and uses his psychic powers to feed off human pain and misery, and patiently waits for the day that the Earth is warm enough for him to awaken, swim to the surface and lead his people to dominate the Earth again. And he may be far more powerful than he ever was, becoming stories tall and able to wipe out a small town with one beam from his middle eye.
