You might think the quality isn't good... I disagree... it's one heck of a stunning shot.
Gorgeous.

Well, apparently on their website you can submit photos to them, and every month they choose the two best to be printed in the magazine. I'm pretty certain that if you start up an account there, post up your best photographs, and get them voted on, it won't take too long for the staff to notice your body of work, and likely contact you. You keep your copyright to the image, but they want the rights to use it royalty free whenever they want. You can read the Rules and FAQ on their website, by clicking the links.
Also, I'd email them and ask how they hire photographers. That is if you actually want to work for them. I know you're NatGeo worthy, but, it is a pretty demanding lifestyle.

Yeah...I heard something like that and I checked the site, but I never found out where to submit. So I assumed that you have to be a member (of the magazine) to be able to submit photos and I'm not too rich at the moment.....
And yes...I'd love to work for NYI. Demanding is all right, as long as I can take beautiful photographs I'm happy....

Yeah, it does seem you have to subscribe to the magazine. Other suggestions I heard was just spamming them with unsolicited mail with prints from your portfolio. Any way you go about it, it will take stubborness and sacrifice.

The sacrifice won't be a problem, I'm used to that

Well, you were mentioning the money thing. Oh, and also I forgot the other thing reccommended, get your photos published, either in books or magazines, even if they're just ones of your own.

the thing i like with this picture is the way you worked with the shadows in the background and on the faces of the tigers. i think the picture is better viewed at minimal then in full view. ^^great work!

Beautiful! I much rather have the animals alive than dead, as so many poachers want their furs and other body parts for the black market.

Poor quality, my left buttock. This is stunning! They have the prettiest eyes, and their fur pattern seems to stand out more than usual.
