SO GUESS WHAT. Photoshop broke tonight. Like, REALLY broke. I can't even access the file due to some crazy-ass system error. Which means I now have no digital art program at my disposal. AT ALL. AND I'M GOING THROUGH WITHDRAWAL.On the plus side, Windows Paint still works...
TJ's Journal; mid-Season 3
A group portrait of our first foal crop was taken today. They are now 2-year-olds. It was hell trying to get all three to stand together, but with a bunch of pushing and pulling and 2 1/2 bags of carrots, we finally succeeded.
Phoenix Flying down in front hasn't grown much. We managed to capture her in her "Phee Stance." I've never seen any other horse stand like she does (except for maybe Skyy when he was a baby), and it amuses me that she has been immortalized with that cursed back right hoof crossing over her left one. She's eating in the picture, of course: she's ALWAYS eating. Which is kind of ironic, since she's the smallest of the group.
Then there's Eagle Fleet in the back ignoring everyone. He is by far the largest equine on the farm, but he's so gentle. A mama cat gave birth a few weeks ago and her kittens have recently taken to sleeping in his fetlock feathers. Eagle would make a great house-wife, I think.
However, last week we did discover his pet peeve. Yeah... Never going near him with whisker clippers again. Hence the unkept appearance. Though he doesn't mind having his tail trimmed. (Probably because he can't see us past his own giant butt!)
Then of course we have the elegant and terrifying Dark Bullet Day, the oldest of the three. While it took near 30 minutes to get the other two to stand still for half a minute, the instant Sawyer there saw the photographer, he stood tall and pretty and perfectly still the whole time. He apparently likes the camera. And himself. He's quickly become the image of BCC Stables racing faction.
Sawyer has definately filled out since his foal portrait was taken. He has a fine-boned, elegant head and the chest and rump to rival the Wife of Bath's in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. He'll kick off his 2-year-old racing season next month.

This is adorable! I love the fact that Eagle Fleet hates getting his whiskers trimmed If he decided to flip out I'm sure no one would stop him
I love Pheonix too, her pose is awesome. And her coloring especially is beautiful

Ya know if photoshop won't work you can download artweaver, its what I use. Its free and is almost exactly like photoshop....without all the cool brushes and a couple other things. And Phoenix Flying is so beautiful!!!! I just love her coat! The others are very handsome as well.

Thanks! I'll definately look into that. First I'm going to reinstall PS and see if it works. *sigh* If it doesn't, I may be using your artweaver from now on!
And thank you for the compliments on my babies. I luv them very much indeed.
