Of what do you think will you make the spikes of?

I thought they would work out well if I made them out of white fleece (or other simple, relatively smooth fabric) and then have the 'shaded' segment be airbrushed. I know that Magpieb0nes did a hedgehog head and did spines in that way (or at least that's how it looks). I debated vinyl at one point but there's at least 8 reasons why that won't work best or look great.
I'm a bit edgy with my plan for sculpting a nose out of sculpey... but it mainly needs more thought. One thing I can't decide on is whether or not I want the snout to be made out of the same pink fleece as the ears, or if I want it to be short pile (or just shaved down) pink fur. The pros and cons of both are so equal.

Ah yes, the difficult choices. Whatever you choose, I would love to see the process if you want to share, of course
I wish I could give you some advice on the matter, but that fact is I have too little experience as if yet, sorry for not being too helpful at the moment

Don't worry about it! The main thing that I'm getting from you is that it's interesting enough to ask about. Also, I love chatting about these things with people. Getting the ideas out really helps me.

Yes, very interesting so ^^
I am currently building my first very own fursuit head, so it is nice to see how the progress goes of others

You've mentioned that before, but you haven't yet posted anything! *pouts*
But I love progress, too. On literally everything. It's like the inner workings behind a masterpiece, whether it's art, film, costuming, the draft of a book... fascinating.

I want to upload it all when I'm done (like in a nice 'tutorial' page thing)
But if you want to really see something, I can submit to my scraps and send you the link?
Oh yes, I always love to see 'Behind the Scenes' on dvd's and whatnot to see what went wrong, what went right, what could have gone better. It's all very nice to watch and see :3
Movies and fursuiting I noticed I am the most interested in x3
Art too, but only when I myself am busy with it myself too

Yes, send me the link in a note! I don't have to critique it or anything if that's what you're worried about.

I shall ^^
And if you want to critique, it's fine by me x3 Just be gentle, seeing as it's the first time I've ever made something like it xD
