Note from blackboard, copy-paste"This is what I should've had by midterm. I'm still working on the shape, not just the eyes. I have to reshape the mask, the reshaped the mouth, smooth out the head and tail, and put those whatcha-call-its on the bottom of her feet. I have 2 sets of eyes. The original had a low eyelid, was more bulged out and made it look too devious. The set that's on there has a really short eyelid and some eyelash. It looks more like the drawing but it still ain't right. That's why it's got no eyeballs."
Well it's got eyeballs, but eh, YOU know what I meant...

At least you're on the right track and know where you're going with it. Have you been doing this stuff for a while or are you fairly new to it? We'll see if replyness happens.

This is my second semester taking CG. I still consider myself new to it, since we're still learning new aspects of the program, plus sometimes I get lost.

Ah, I only had two semesters myself, but it seems you're learning a lot more than I ever did. At least in terms of modeling. Maya... Well, have fun and hope your mind gets on top of all the technical stuff so you no longer get lost.

In class we use SoftImage. I forget what version. I don't think it's all that hard, but when it comes to modeling, I'm pretty slow-paced. There's a sculpture class on 3d modeling, which is probably easier for those students, while the animation part of it is probably easier for me since I'm in kinetics. The program takes some getting used to because there are so many features. I still don't know what everything does or what it all means. Though you can still make decent models and animations without knowing a whole lot.
